Yea demo cars most aren't for sale unfortunately. I have my heart set on a grey one, looks like i'll be lucky to get one as I believe there's not many coming into the UK in the next batch. Might have to go black or god forbid the awful blue! Actually its not that bad in the flesh.

orly!! i bet its sold, but yes i will thanks

However kind of set on buying from another well known dealer on here, whose offering the better warranty and 340R pack included What to do, choices, choices, you would think with 30K burning a hole in your pocket it would be easy to get one right?

Long story but the memories of the £500 tax bill and low 20's mpg came back to haunt me and the reason I left the fold. I was taking the car as a part exchange on a sale or return and my car sold so no longer needed to take the part exchange so had a good think and decided to buy something else. I have nothing against the car but super around here is a 60 mile round trip so half a tank to just fill up

The nice dealer you refer to will still upgrade your car for the same cost if you look at the threads above! I only cancelled on Sunday so good chance

Yep i know and true, i suspect the extended warranty would be an issue though. Also its just a major hassle due to the distance from me to them.

Surely your mid way between the two? Remember to tell Karl Gareth Williams tipped you off that should help you I hope! I would have gone to both and I am much further away than you think about the journey

The roads are so shockingly bad around here I have ordered a disco for the school run - if you can't beat the farmers join them! Hoping to get a 3dr Golf R for school holidays and man days - accepted it's not a Scoob but it will do me for now and don't think I would get the disco and Scoob in the garage together so needed something smaller.

I ordered a grey STi about two weeks ago and was told it was the last grey one coming in the current batch. It's being put on the boat end July and I should get it in Sept at some point.

Wow. Wonder what those if us lucky enough to have one would get for it if we decided to sell now? Money back?

No stock of cars left for this year, only the odd one a dealer may have on order.

Yup most that are sent are blue. I supsect theres only a limited number of the grey ones being sent, as the colour i guess, isnt seen as a popular choice I think it looks awesome, much nicer than the blue.

I dont understand why can't subaru supply more cars to the UK? I am sure it has something to do with manufacturing but will they step things up now they have seen the high demand?

Who knows, i dont even think the UK dealers are being told by Subaru what their plans are for the future of the STi in the UK, it's gone very quiet. To be honest they don't really need to care as their main market is the US, shame really.

Slightly ironic isn't it.

When they have the cars they can't sell them

When they start to sell the cars they cant source them

Yep. To be honest i wasn't to impressed with the lady i spoke with, Carl isn't in today, calling me tomorrow so she didn't really know where your cancelled order/car is, maybe due in Sept maybe not, guess I've been spoilt already having spoken with John

Then i decided to google for some opinions of B+C, a pretty picture was not presented

Thanks for the info though, i will see what Carl has to offer tommorrow.

The Golf is a nice car. I looked at one of these and and STI as they are the same money to buy, but the golf is a hell of a lot cheaper to run. Cheaper Tax, better fuel economy and cheaper insurance. Also i was looking to lease and the 'R' was £300 a month, the scoob £400. Thats what winds me up. Such a big difference and unless someone is a die hard subaru fan, theyll go with the golf. What did I do....... bought a late widetrack STI again and saved some money lol. Just cant seem to get them out of my system.

It's all to do with the EU Emissions regulations, they have certain targets that have to achieve, and they cannot exceed them, which means a car with high emissions can only be sold in very limited numbers, sadly.

That should change when they finally get round to releasing a performance variant with the DIT engines.

Hopefully not the watered-down WRX version.
