What I'm trying to say is Subaru have said they were ALL sold until September, but your dealer said there were 29 left. Which is it?, it can't be both.

Bearing in mind the car isn't even out till first of May, and there are only 29 left, and non of those are WR blue......what did you expect Subaru to put on a website? By the time most would see that website the remaining cars will probably be sold won't they? If they have sold nearly 250 in 2 months, then how long will the last 29 last?

Guys.... Think back to the CS400. Subaru said they were all sold out not that long after launch. What followed was months and months of evidence there were loads unsold.
It's all smoke and mirrors is my guess.

Seriously, people are acting like this is some low production model that'll be like hen stealth to get, the reality will be somewhat different. They couldn't shift the previous saloon, so why should this one be any different. As mickp has said, Smoke and mirrors.

please do your maths its nowhere near 50k
Mine was 38500 with a lot of extras is only 42k
Sat Nav
19 Inch Black Alloys
Aero Kit
Sports Exhaust
AMG pack
Harmon Kardon Stereo upgrade
It only becomes 50k if you waste money on Carbon Mirrors Command Online which is ****, and the leather Dash. all the rest are quite ok, But ok not near the Scooby
The new Scooby is worth it in my book, the price is bob on what it should have been before Tony Don and me got raped for 33k.
I just so wished they had done a more fuel and less tax hungry engine. I loved mine but those 2 bits along with super unleaded only annoyed me enough to sell it and look elsewhere.
The new Scooby should be compared to the Audi S3 and Golf R, both of which in manual can be obtained for 29K, and offer the going rate for MPG TAX and power.
Subaru USED to be the benchmark, but have fallen a tad behind now, I honestly think they should be Pumping out 400BHP cars now, 300 is so last year.

It wasn't easy for me to get hold of mine. I had been looking for one since October 2011 and to be honest the few cars for sale had a few thousand on the clock, it wasn't until March 2012 I started seeing adverts for delivery mileage cars for sale. Amusingly I had rung Subaru about new cars when I started the search and no one ever got back to me or tried to sell me one (though they tried to sell me a 340r saloon after I'd bought the Cosworth!).
A lot of customers put a deposit down on a Cosworth and then cancelled their orders as it was taking so long for them to actually come out. The rather lukewarm reviews given to the car by two glossy magazines probably didn't help things either.
This is why there were a few available as pre-reg cars, or so I am led to believe. Same as the p1, WR1, RB320 in the past...
Bottom line is, I imagine the quota of cars has sold and going off this thread alone people are starting to want to cancel. There will always be cars available either by luck or by paying a premium just depends how much you want one.

Back to the A45. It looks like it will soon get iOS in the car or CarPlay as Apple are calling it.
Any news yet on the ICE for the MY15?

I hate to compare MPG, but the Merc puts the STI to shame.
Then you have the insurance benefits that get you away from the bad reputation of the Subaru.
Yeah, and then you have the hassle of angle tears for fuel in the Subaru.
This is becoming more and more of an issue to find in certain parts of the country.
How could I find that so confusing

As for fuel economy, the A45 will only do low 20s mpg in the real world despite what the official figures are.

I agree to a point, however I'm not sure that if you want to spend half as much again on an A45 that £300 a year makes much difference. If you keep the car 3 years thats only £900 of the £15000 extra required to get into the Merc. I have a feeling that despite the extra power of the A45 it wouldn't be able to

If you floor it low 30s to high 20s
Your depreciation on the Scooby will level it out. 3 years its worth 12 to 15K
Not too sure on the A45 but 9month old ones are still 46K

Honestly I'm flabbergasted at some of you guys. For every person being positive about the new Subaru, there are 5 or so being negative, and this is a Subaru forum? I'm sorry, but to new members/prospective owners it's bizarre to join such a forum and end up trying to defend your decision to buy Subaru.

As for your comment on depreciation, lets say the £29k STi retains a conservative 40% after 3 years, the car will be worth £11.6k (3 year old STis are actually worth more than that), so a worst case drop of £17400.
If your £45000 A45 retains an optimistic 50% after 3 years, thats a best case drop of £22500. So 5 grand more than the Subaru (at best)

Remember the feedback helps a new op make more of an educated decision. If we all sat back saying everything was fantastic, we really would be ********. All is not well and it hasn't been for a number of years.
They have been (and can be) great cars but they have missed so many chances to move on. Others have.

hey the MPG argument , some guy on that post got 43, so its close
Ill keep you posted on what I actually get in July...
Think most of them are around town also, mine would be pure motorway, I managed 31 in the scoob, but unsure how accurate that MPG thing was.
I think even my wife Zafira Tourer only get 20s round town, and that's 1.4T
