I am sure there will be a couple of press cars etc, as there should be, this car does need to be seen out there, and from all the press write-ups I have read so far the handling is fantastic, so it will do nothing but good for the Subaru brand. Cars can only be called off as sold orders from a dealership, so only dealers that will have one will have to put there own money into a car.

Wow. The RS mk2 sold around 8000 in the UK, and (in my area of North Yorkshire) you very rarely see any. Doubt I'll ever pass many Sti's going the opposite way.

You will have a rare car anyway....I like that!! In that time i must have seen hundreds of S3's and quite a few 135i's which people tell me i should have bought instead.

How on earth can subaru bring an sti in 2014 with 243 co2. It s will be so expensive overhere that i can buy 2 new bmw for the price of 1 sti with those high co2 numbers.
M135i has about 188 co2 with more than 300hp

Give him a break ya bullies.
In its defence Hulk Engine issues aside, I had 1 ( the old saloon ) for 3 years and it was bulletproof, I sold it due to end of warrenty and I didn't want the engine to give way when I wasn't covered.
If you plan to keep it after 3 years then just bare that in Mind, its the same Block that we all rant about.
hence why ive just bought the A45, I would have had the scoob IF they had dropped the 2.0L in but they don't listen to us customers just do what they want. I think that would be safe to say more of us would have gone back to the brand if they had given a hoot about us.
It will be lovely, and youll be getting it about the same time I get my A45 end of May June...
Enjoy it
your actually closeish to me, im Leeds I could come and look when you get it
Where did you buy from KT Greens ?

The marketting dept just can't get it right can they
Subaru need a Hugh overhaul from grass routes to sort the mess they have created and still they don't seem to listern
They should have a member if staff reading forums to see where they go wrong
Bad job of customers don't even though of they are not getting gold alloys ( which do make th car go faster) and tax bracket although I'm sure it will be the top one
If a member of Subaru uk had came in here and prehaps reassured people of a new engine or modifications do it wouldn't go pop
They could of also offered a 5year warrenty
Maybe subaru uk should get their act together and find out why their cars aren't really selling
Look back to 1999/2000 and the good old days

I know for a fact that they used to 'plant' information out there to gauge reactions
In fairness 99/00 were totally unique years.
We had a car that not many could have lived with on the road, unless you had splashed out big bucks.
Even then, those cars would have struggled in anything but good/dry road conditions.
We also didn't have nearly £500 notes road tax either.
I'm with Littleted on the tax front

The extra £15K gets you a more powerful engine with better fuel economy that actually works without sh1tting itself when you drive it hard and an interior that is actually nice to be in ... oh and a proper prestige marque

Don't forget launch control, double declutching pops and bangs, 7 speed dual clutch flappy paddle box and a dealer in every town. And they can be mapped to 400bhp without forging/pinning the engine. Oh and all the automated features.
Still going to test drive both.

I am sure you will be able to order one Mark no problem, but when delivery would be could only be answered at the time. PM me if you have any questions about deposit etc as I am sure we can sort something out for you so you can make sure you get one this year.

Equivalent for the MY11 is 1765Kgs

I might have this wrong but the MY11 is 1505kg poids a vide but also quoted as kerbside weight. Add 5 kilos of coolant, 50 kg of fuel, 6kg of oil and 5kg screen wash and you still are no where near 1765kg

I thought a Subaru was one of the best made cars ever. I would not even expect a Kia to break these days . It seems to me no car is made to be abused and if we all look after are cars there should be no problem

But the simple fact is that you can look after a car all you want, if however it has fundamental issues with the engine, then no amount of looking after it is going make the problem totally disappear.

Still think you have it wrong but I may be wrong also. Gross vehicle weight is the full weight with load/passengers and some options etc. so 1490kg is poids a vide (Leergewicht) for 2.5l MY11 in Japan (1505kg in Europe) verse 1615kg for MY15. Basically each model has been 100kg more through the years from version 1 classic.
