Agreed, to some it looks like he is wasting his life. In reality the man is ill. It's a horrible thing to have to go through and I just hope hes not suffering mentally as bad as you would guess he is.
He's worthy of sympathy, agreed that no more than any other sufferer of the illness. But even so its wrong to disregard him as being a waster.

As a Spurs fan, he'll always be a legend in my eyes, even if Spurs weren't the club for him to really fulfil all of that potential. He seemed to take a huge nose dive professionally and personally after that cruciate knee ligament injury in the 1991 FA Cup final, scything down Gary Charles. I think it's utterly tragic what he's doing to himself but how many chances do you give him?! Unfortunately to a generation of fans he'll be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Seems to me, he has always had a drink problem. But a lot of people make excuses for him.
Biggest problem with him is being a short ****, another two inches taller and England would have been in a second major final

Typical primadonna un-educated footballer, p!ssed it up the wall then became addicted to alcohol and other substances which then probably led to drink/drug induced psychosis, eventually leading to abusing his Mrs and the inevitable depression at which point he drinks and snorts his way back to numbness.
Problem being Alcohol is a depressant combine it with copious quantities of any drug he can get his hands on then it's no surprise you end up in the nut house.

i have he was briefly manager of kettering town fc, the town where i live and was mostly in the beeswing pub up the road p1ssed.
i thought he was a sad drunk old man, he obviously is very ill and cant help himself or even want to.
he was surrounded by "mates" buying him drinks and spending his money, id suggest this is a major cause of most his issues, now the moneys gone so are those "mates" and nobody cares enough to help.

I accept bipolar is an illness, however I'm a little more reluctant to admit Gazza is bipolar. I've had days in the past when sometimes I've been **** a hoop and some days I've been in the doldrums. You just get on with it and make the best of a difficult situation.

So despite Gazza being diagnosed by medical professionals and exhibiting almost all of the classic symptoms of bipolar and with not one credible commentator questioning the veracity of his condition you're going to based on a vague hunch, your occasional ups and downs and a general antipathy toward 'celebs'.
