Ok, been googling it, seems it can be done in the car. I thought you had to use sealent etc on it.

Looking at about £50 a set for gaskets and half moons.

Surely tho it shouldnt have just fell out? I reslly didnt push it, just felt down there with fingers and it moved!

Anyway, looks like as you said you can do it with engine in place... Dunno if i can be bothered tho. Its just one thing after another at the mo!

Oranges, its quite fruity. Its yellow, has lambo brakes and 430bhp...
But i dont think i could live with 80 miles to a tank lol

Iol you do bodge fits like wheel spacers and wonder why you have problems.
The wrx is not up to the job and I have no reason to say that other than its a proven fact.I don't even own an impteza now but I had no problems with mine over the years. Its down to good maintenance and how you treat them

You can do most things with engine in but I know what you mean about loosing interest.I found myself a reasonable mechanic for the jobs I cant be bothered with anymore, which is most things lol Ps. I like the S4's too!

Tommy, i dont think fitting wheel spacers caused my engine to have a bit fall out and leak oil.
You never know with these ****boxes tho!

[vulture]

Sorry to hear of your problems Fudgey, but if you're serious about breaking I'd be interested in the Brembos.

^agree^ can't see a problem with spacers myself unless it caused tires to rub. It wouldn't affect rotational speed of wheels so diffs won't be affected,so whats the problem with spacers?

Sulking about it won't get it fixed, get the gaskets, fix it in an hour and then decide what you wanna do with the car once you're thinking straight

Thats the only thing mate. Buying any second hand car is a gamble.

Tbh the car was fine till i broke the gearbox, but since then little issues have cropped up that just **** me off!

I guess the new heatwrap on the up pipe will have to go in the bin now as it is saturated with oil...
