Top Gear.... Returning to your screens on 2nd February... BEWARE!

Was quite amusing at times, but the police chase part went on too long.
Still, it's just an entertainment show that happens to include cars - good for a Sunday night viewing with the kids.

I actually laughed out loud at the bit when Hammond crossed the supermarket finish line. First time I've done that in a couple of series. The police thing was weak though

Well, I say kids, but my 11 year old daughter refuses to watch anything about cars, and all the innuendo goes straight over my 8 year old lads head.

With hope in my heart I was looking forward to this new series, boy was I let down. I cannot see me watching any more episodes, it was dire to say the least.

Whilst I completely agree with you we are petrolheads and the show is not aimed at us, but at the general public. I suspect the average Joe found what they did more entertaining than they would have a serious comparison of hot hatchbacks of yesteryear with their modern counterparts!

Got to say I was looking forward to a true old hot hatch v new hot hatch contest which would have been great but we were given a bull**** police chase
Don't care however - I'll still be tuning in next week

The part when Hammond went back down the hill and he 'Accidently' rolled the Nova . That boy really is fearless isnt he ! What a hairy pile of bulls *********.

The kids thought it was hilarious at times........which is the audience worldwide it's aimed at as it's entertainment pure and simple...... even I laughed out loud as the Nova went sideways across the finish line.
Look on it as Fawlty Towers on 4 wheels ... nothing more

I normally don't agree with the haters but that was crap, ended up fast forwarding a lot. It should have been a vs article, eg old vs new. Instead started a new series of a motoring show with nothing to do with current cars and stupid crap with old sh!tters.
Still, at least they didn't ruin a 205!!!

I really do think they're taking the **** now,
Just dire story line, 2k (max) worth of ****ters destroyed, some old tanks hired - total cost to them 100k......,
Total cost to us several million
At some point ( I'm sure it's past allready ) the rest of the world ain't buying it

Why do people feel the need to keep watching something they don't like?
I don't like Corry or Eastenders so I make a point in not watching them because I know I won't like them.
The same people every week (when it's on) say the don't like it but will watch it anyway then moan about it later and say they didn't like it, WTF?
