Things been a bit slow last 3 weeks because my dad died, so had to deal with everything being only child, but back onto the scooby now.
I had new 550 injectors installed and car drives fine until you try to go over 3000 revs or use turbo.... I hope it now just requires a remap to stop what appears to be over fuelling.
First thing in the morning I am phoning JGM to discuss things and try to work out how to get it to the rolling road in surrey (about 40 miles), one other problem is it's MOT ran out 7 weeks ago, obviously can not get an MOT on it with the fuel issue so may have to chance a very slow drive to surrey.
The other option is ask JGM to come to me and do a remap... then when/if I fit new turbo get it set up on rolling road afterwards.

Simon has had some health issues of late and iirc has been taking some time off. Maybe try contacting him via facebook - https://www.facebook.com/simon.roe.35
I need car sorted asap so have arranged with national company Black-Code to do the remap.
Has anyone had dealings with them, they do seem very professional and I have received 3 communications from their customer support team already regarding the remap and gaurantee.

I have it booked with JGM on rolling road and remap on 18th.. I hope for the £650 it sorts the problem.
I have just drove it home today, it runs ok under 3000 revs, then over fuels big time over 3000 with the 550 injectors now fitted.
I just neeed to drive the 35 miles to rolling road very carefully

update... I have ben trying to sort issues out on my P1 for months, unable to drive car as it was erratic and unpredictable.
After another full long engine fitted I changed coil pack, maf, plugs, leads, lambda sensor, had 3 different mechanics look at it, decided on replacing injectors as one was suspect, so out with the 440s and 550s fitted.
Now time to spend more of my hard earned on this car and booked a remap with JGM on the new rolling road at Farnborough.
Obviously car running rich with the 550s and as it was now out of MOT I took a slow drive using back roads to meet Simon at the rolling road.. this took me nearly 2.5 hours for the 60 mile journey, traffic jams and road works... but made it there... just.
I waited about 2 hours for my turn on the rolling road, well this would be a day (and £660) well spent if it sorted my scooby out.
P1 strapped on the road, simon connects his computer.... " sorry can't do the remap for you, the MAF is faulty" ..... this is the new MAF bought from the dealer in Crawley, the one I questioned the quality of because it had no ID on it, which seemed strange to me and I had even contacted the parts manager to be reassured it was a genuine good Subaru part.
So I limped the P1 back home, risking being pulled for no MOT or breaking down, which it tried to do due the over fuelling 550s and faulty MAF.
I stopped into Subaru Crawley parts department on way back home, as you can imagine I was not very pleased, compensation? advised to contact Subaru UK customer services... I will let you know how I get on.
Replacement MAF should be here today (Friday)
At the moment I am one very pissed off P1 owner.

Just read your thread mate. Absolutely gutted for you. Hope Subaru sort the MAF out for you and Simon can map it. Fingers crossed it is the MAF and not the wiring/associated circuit and/or ecu.

Latest... took the MAF back to Subaru Gatwick today and got the new one.
The new MAF had the part numbers on it in white, which is why I thought the original MAF supplied by this dealer may have been dodgy, I showed this to parts manager, he inspected the MAF supplied to me in December 2013, the one I even contacted Subaru UK customer support about, his verdict.... it was not a genuine part.
I will fit the new MAF tomorrow, and prepare to do battle with Subaru UK.
To supply me with an inferior non genuine part at main dealer prices was bad enough, all the grieve and expense I have had over the last 6 months trying to sort this car out due selling me a non genuine faulty part means I want some serious compensation, or I take them down the legal route.
Kwik.. thanks but I was never prepared to risk fitting second hand parts, the whole idea was use new genuine parts, at dealer prices so I knew what I was getting, or so I thought.

BTW new genuine MAF fitted, car runs fine now, so was the MAF all along, it obviously needs remap now because of the 550 injectors, so have to drive without using turbo until JGM has worked his magic.

Car appears to be running fine now with a genuine Scooby MAF sensor fitted, the only issue is over fuelling with the 550s if you try to drive hard.
I fitted a new Walbro 255 fuel pump today and go back to JGM on wednesday for the rolling road remap.
Subaru UK have been good so far in accepting that they have supplied at the very least a faulty MAF, and most likely a non genuine part, they have admitted they had a few faulty ones last year and are checking with Japan to find out if the parts were sourced from a different supplier and were inferior quality.
I am claiming compensation and need to submit the amount with invoices etc... so looks good

I am really looking forward to driving car back from rolling road after Simon has remapped it, it will be the first time in a few months I will be able to drive it properly again, and if the 550s and remap make it even quicker then it already was I will be one happy P1 owner.... i will let you know what it makes on the rolling road.
I may still go further and fit bigger turbo and intercooler, but next step is get it into workshop and sort out bodywork.
I would advise anyone who recently bought a 'genuine' MAF from Subaru and it didn't have the numbers on it in white to get back to the supplier, if it isn't faulty now it probably will be in the very near future.

Hi, Just a tip , on your overfuel situation, I drove over 500 miles to get to Simon on 550's and 255lph, had exactly same problems as you are experiencing. You must stay under 3100 and do change down 2 gears on hills rather than WOT , as if you do have to use more throttle % it will pull settings on you. When it does you will roll to a halt and have trouble to get the engine re-started at all. No worries just get your 10mm spanner out and pull the battery lead off to reset ECU. You should be able to restart , then drive it like on ice and it cleans up a bit as it relearns.
Give my regards to Simon , when you get your tune. And trust him next time , he will get back to you. Linksfahrer.

I took it to Simon 2 weeks ago and did keep it under 3000 revs, it was fine until I got caught in traffic jam/roadworks near Guildford, then it run like a pig, I only just managed to get it through the town it was running so rich, but remember I was also running with the faulty MAF sensor which didn't help.
It runs so much better now with the good MAF, I hope the drive will be much smoother this time as I intend to go the M25 route (avoiding Guildford roadworks) and 3,000 revs is about 65-70 mph in the P1.

The saga continues......
Got there 15 minutes early, straight onto rolling road this time as Simon and Charley thought they might have an issue with the road itself.
They decided there was a slight misfire on boost that needed sorting prior to remap, car removed from road and allowed to cool down and plugs removed checked and cleaned, the thinking was that the faulty MAF had dirtied the plugs which were fitted 300 miles ago.
3 hours later back on road, no misfire and thumbs up from Simon.
Then the ECU went pop during remap.......
OK, no problem Simon had 2 other V5 ECUs in reserve, but neither worked, Simon thought they were either faulty or UK ones.
Only thing left was an after market ECU, but when fitted Simon was unable to connect to it, they decided it was good enough for me to limp back home.
Definition of hell for any petrol head... driving at no faster then 62 miles an hour, max 3000 revs and no turbo used, being over taken by foriegn lorry drivers on motorways that also cut you up... Bas***ds
So, back to square one with a car that over fuels and will not tick over with the temporary ECU loaned by Simon.... guess things can only get better?
