Dont have to but yes will gain a little more with a better intercooler

Really, oh think mine is slap bang in the middle, looks like the ECU might be up for grabs, does this mean i need an ESL daughter board to remap?

you got a v4 mate so esl matey, the sp is v5 so can be resold on fleebay or here lol

Thought mine was version 5, oh well will double check coil pack before selling

what colour are the plug sockets on the SP ecu. If grey then its defo a v5. If they are yellow then itll be v4. Though im pretty certain the v4 prodrive ecu has a different code

Just checked my ECU, its an 8S
So guessing my prodrive ECU i bought won't fit?

a v3/4 my97/98 with yellow plugs..
or just get it mapped..

Yea i want to go down the ESL route, like idea of 2 maps, but local places quoting well over £600 which i feel is abit pricey
With the prodrive ECU is it a straight swap?

obviously not aware of the amount of work involved then.
no will need the keys coding or the key module
