Agreed, and worth the money. If the OP is a body shop expert surely he could resolve any cosmetic issues cheaply and easily?

True it doesn't sound like hard work for a skilled body shop guy to sort on a weekend

Well at £5700 I wasnt pulling his pants down too low! I have to bitch as I was told lies! lol.

At the end of the day its just a thumbs up to point out a liar who gives you incorrect information. As I said before, 1 mans trash is another mans treasure. I dont prefer accident damage cars, others may do. No harm in viewing the car if it doesn't bother you, pretty sure Brad & his old man will provide a good de tour around the car.

Those pictures do not justify the cars true condition at all.

GLWTS Brad & whoever buys it

What it's got to do with anything, I'm yet to realise. You don't need loads of posts on a forum to be an enthusiast.

Besides, you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.

How do you know he's an expert, because he said so?
Don't quote half (or less) than what I said in order to justify your contribution Micky.
Would you like to add the other relevant bit of my post there?

In fact, I'll do it for you:

You DO have only 17 posts, which confirms that you're not a regular contributor (which as you quite rightly say you don't have to be) but it gives the appearance of infrequent visits and/or finding little of interest on a forum with threads as wide-ranging as this one does. I accept that you could simply be a driving enthusiast (and not a conversationalist).

Good point, fair enough.
But if he isn't he'll be found out when someone views it and doesn't find then things he says are there.

And the result will give us evidence that we can rely on.

A lot of prospective buyers are, due to the advice given on here when they ask 'I'm thinking of buying this - what do you think?'.

I think this forum should pride itself on being believable.

Well we'll obviously differ there then.

The end result? - see - and most importantly accept - for yourself.

A genuine cross-section of opinion.
Kas and Brad can make their own minds up.

Imo worrlass has hit the mail on the head (as proven by contributors' agreement with him).

Judging by what I know you're going to need at least a football team to compare us to rather than a duo..... I should stop posting the pathetic jibes and take a long hard look at your posting style... either that or don't moan when the criticism gets serious!

I have been here since 1999 and seen many come and many go... you'll be no different unless you lighten up with the pomposity and patronising attittude!

Really? I couldn't view his previous purchases due to them being over 3 months old?

Not a good posting style yourself.
Translated I read it as:

"Who do you think you are, you young whippersnapper?
I'm old enough to be your Forum grandad.
If you're not careful I'll take a slipper to you
".

I think it's you that's just moaned.

I simply gave a humourous prod.

And just for the record, this new kid isn't the sort to get run out of town and/or be cowed by keyboard warriors.

Fortunately the original intention of this thread has more or less been fulfilled, so we haven't been too discourteous to the op by hijacking it.

Perhaps you should focus on remaining focussed upon the subject in hand whenever you contribute to a thread?
I know I need to.

But then I've a lot to learn, being only 6 months young.

I quite like LWC's posting style. It may be 'old school' but it's coherent, grammatically correct and not littered with spelling mistakes. Perhaps therein lies your folly LWC. 😄

To be fair, I wouldn't expect a mint 03 sti for £5800!
But I can totally understand why the op may have been a little miffed to travel 300 miles and felt that it wasn't as described.

+1.....I like his interesting spin on a wide range of different subjects and the fact his posting style doesn't come with an "up his own ****" attitude like some.

It's cheap for what it is so at that price id be expecting a couple jobs will need doing... Goin by the pics it does look like a nice clean motor but obviously pics are not the same as eyes...... It's not like the op bought the car prior to seeing it going by just the description , then yea fair enough moan away, he could of made a lower offer reflecting the work needed? It's hardly a scam either as it is a sti on the advert/picture and the same car when he arrived. That's just my 2 pence, kas maybe you should start shopping at dealerships if yo want immaculate

Anyways, cheers recent posters.

As you gather, it does annoy me when personalities and personal issues are brought into it but it takes two to tango and regrets for contributing to it.

And we don't want to be (seen to be) dividing into camps.

A final insight into my relevant contribution - the only colour prejudice mentioned on here should be related to each other's cars (You can't be prejudiced about your own can you ? ).
