Yeah bud that would be helpful. Thing is that I have removed the recirculating valve so that pipe now that run back to the inlet is now deleted, so won't do any thing..

Yeah you got to start them young, he loves being out with me and getting involved

Yeah that is understandable, my misses is trying to sell her focus 2.5 st turbo to replace with a hawk Scoob, so I will be modding that one too.. So I will be kind of in your shoes

Right car is now ready for Simon tomorrow morning, he will be putting a basemap on so I can make sure there are no issues. Fingers crossed.

Also managed to get the heater controls to fit properly and also made some custom brackets for the stereo to actually fit, as before it was just wedged in.. Thanks to my neighbor...

Thanks SJ, it is hard work, the reason why they are clean is because the car doesn't go anywhere.

Well the car is filthy now as have clocked up 100miles with no issues. (Touch wood) thanks to simon absolute legend for coming out to me to do the base map, but I only think it was because of the bacon sarney, I do make a mean sarney.. .. Then drove upto dan at surrey subaru specialist to test and heli coil one exhaust stud, dan and john where great for squeezing me in at short notice.. So all go for Wednesday. Fingers crossed...

To be fair I have to be honest I did have a issue which scared me and confused simon, when I shut the bonnet the engine cut off....

I managed to tighten the throttle cable to tight and the bonnet touches it, as I have a carbon covers which don't have a tying point for the throttle cable... It really was a **** twitching point..

Like the project but dont like the wheels . . A nice set would really set the car apart from the crowd IMO and would make it look more like a performace car rather than a car park tart . . .

and yes I dont mean to sound like a **** but I hope you get my jist

That's fair play bud, everyone has there own opinion.. I have a big thing for white wheels, it's just me sorry mate. I had them anthracite, gold, but my ideal wheels would be rota grid drifts... But they won't fit without coil overs

Cheers Bud, yeah going Wednesday for Map, may be a bit of an issue loosing pressure from the exhaust manifold from the sleeved joint. But we will have to wait and see. Either way its nice to have the car back on road, even though i am limited to 4k RPM

Well today did start off well but when I got home turned into a disaster. Made good power but turbo decided to give up when I got home.. Gutted!!!!

Sounds like the bearing has gone on the turbo. There is no smoke but it now does this..

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5a44fdd2.mp4

Wondering if there is a water or oil blockage to the turbo, have no clue how to find out but this is pretty much how the other turbo gave up too.. Wow I feel depressed..

But for the 1 hour it was working it was lovely..

Here is what it made, not that it counts now

Think it's time to get rid of the Scoob and get something reliable

Does sound like a bearing of some variety, is it engine or drive train related? Does it still whine when stationary and revving it?

Nice result too! Chin up mate, it wont be that bad

Cheers mate, it does do it a little wine when stationary, you can hear it's coming from the turbo and now car isn't really boosting...

Tell me about it.. What turbo is that? Never herd of it..

If I decide to keep the Scoob was looking at a sc46 or 50 billet, or even a gt30 standard fit. Are the sc's journel bearing?
