I never said straightforward, quite the opposite actually
But in my experience it is worth while and will help with spool up and power band (what ever we are calling it now ive lost track ) and while using larger turbos anything that will help spool it earlier is definitely worthwhile imo

At a base level the pain of the mod is not worth the benefit of the gain. The end

In my opinion from a convenience, looks and gain point of view, it would definitely still be one of the first mods I do to any scooby just for the benefit of the ease of working on the car and been able to remove so much extra crap from the engine bay. pretty much eliminates the need for any stripping of any parts to do anything once it is done.
Always hated how cluttered and messy and difficult everything is to get to, I fitted one standard engine once, never again, everything 15x more difficult that it really ought to be, a whole day affair, mine i can have out within a couple of hours by myself, or put back together in pretty much the same
Just my two cents, no one has to agree with it, but i feel it is definitely worth considering.

Tyler mate forget about the flipped inlet it's not worth it for the minimal performance gains it gives if it even gives any, unless it was part of your plans from the beginning of your project it's not worth the hassle,my build incorporated it because as I'm going rotated I had to get intercooler pipe work made up anyway so I said to myself I might as well go the whole hog if you get my driftplus I'm losing my aircon.SJ.
Nice one SJ, appreciated bud. Should just get your number and just text ya for advise (Just playing bud)..
JGlanzaV and trails... Thank you both for your knoledge and advise too, but especially thank you both for the banter.. Its good that people stress there opinions.

Cheers SJ, it is scary i am not going to lie but i enjoy it so much, not bad considering that i work in IT, its people like you that keep me going, there has been quite a few times where i have felt to give up but the support etc helps... Not a good look though when i come into work with filthy hands though, as its a nightmare to clean them after a good session on the car.. Just wish i had more time.

Yesterday I picked up a lateral performance headers and a rcm up pipe, just need some welding done to the collector as there is a minor hole.
..
Today I managed to get a little done, but as it was raining not much.. My neighbour saw me standing in the rain with a umbrella and offered me this..
Got the inlet manifold in with the new gaskets, also Managed to clean the block a little as well as taking out a few bolts and copper grease them up.
.
800cc injectors should be purchased this week, then just need to get exhaust mani on as well as turbo, and customise the gearbox cradle as it's hitting my 3" down pipe.. So slowly getting there..

Thanks Jen, wont be as spectacular as yours though..
Are the Lateral performance headers 304 Stainless then?
They will be going to a professional today to have all welds done to be on the safe side.

Was going to ask how much it costs to get flowed and sonically cleaned and where to get it done.. That was going to be my next question.
Sweet Cheers SJ.. Just waiting on my timing belt guide to turn up and then should be all set to start putting it all back together.

Dont know mate, Had loads done by dave walker in the past.
How much are lateral etc?
Emerald make their own standalone ecus and injectors etc, dave is a tuning legend.
My mate is running a caterham on an emerald ecu with a st170 engine on ITBS on it, goes like the clappers and the support and dvice from dave is second to none
