The only thing with ALK is , thats the only thing it does , gives you more castor.... I'd just rotate the top mounts like the above picture and flip the wishbone plates or even add aditional plates. Couple more thoughts on this....

As above post anyone able to answer, also Moley can you do me a favour and tell me what your ride height is please.

Stick the car on a level ground, use a measure tape and measure from the centre cap/hub of your alloy wheel and pull the measure tape up until you get to the start of the arch. Please could you tell me what the measurements are for your rear and front. I have the same car and thinking of raising it because it could be too low even though it dont look like it. I'm trying to make a little more adjustments so I can dial out a little more of the understeer where possible.

Bonesetter do you know what the recommended ride height is for newage type uk with BC coilovers please.

Thanks bonesetter.

I measured mines last night with Ricky A and in a space of 22 hours I've forgotten what they were so will re-measure them tonight/tomorrow when back home.

However I do think the rears were something like 345mm and the fronts 355mm or the other way round but certainly not the recommended settings you've stated.

The height was set by scoobyworld 2 1/2 years ago when I had them supplied and fitted. I did however get the fast road geometry done which posted somewhere else and you said was fine but even now i'd like to make tweaks to get it even better and tighter/pointier.

Bonesetter are you saying with the recommended ride height my current understeer will be noticeably minimised if the car is raised to this height

Cheers again.

Your fronts were 345mm and rear 340mm iirc!! Either way too low I think.

I changed the top mounts over, left too right (you get about 10mm more movement) flipped the wishbone plates and added a 6mm spacer. Before I did this max camber was -1.41 and castor 4.54. I had it set again yesterday and have now got -2.00 camber and 6.39 and 6.58 castor, I'm at a Bedford track day on Monday so I'll see if it feels better or not.

Re coil overs - the rear should be softer than the front - spring wise and "click wise". Try the rear at say 60% of front e.g 20 front/ 12 rear and see how it feels. Always softer all around in the wet - as you tried.
