Alkatec/Simtek or ESL

Micky is correct as ever (do you work here or something?), we don't currently support AVCS heads, so at last we have a genuine reason why you wouldn't be able to use ESL instead of all the hokum about resale values, etc.

Another ESL owner here. As I came towards the end of a 5k+ plus build on my early 96 RA I started looking at mapping options.
Like most rebuilds it had got out of hand and I had already busted my original budget. Going ESL was a no brainer, cost vs performance its unbeatable imo. Whilst the other products offered more features I didn't need them for fast road and occasional track use. I am convinced that the performance of the car isn't restricted by the ESL board or its "lack" of features, quite the opposite. I have no intention of changing it.
Mapped by Duncan of racedynamix it starts, idle and delivers silky smooth performance, the money saved went towards some sticky tyres.

5 years later, which would you choose? Alcatek gets bottom of the list because Andy Leetch customer service or lack of it? So it is Simtek or ESL, Simtek has many features more than ESL and its much expensive...Depends what features you really need I guess
