A friend of mine witnessed a similar incident a few years ago, but while he had hold of the guy to restrain him, his girlfriend took off her shoe and hit him on the back of the head with such force, the stiletto heel was stuck in his skull and my friend suffered brain damage because of the injury.

It's not worth getting involved in domestics, stay well away.

Wtf!

I hope he pressed charges and she spent some time inside for such a viscous assault!

First of all: good on you!

Did the police man take any details from you?

Lets hope the girl sees sense and leaves before something worse happens!

The girl got away with the assault because of her emotional state of mind during the incident, in fact my friend was threatened with prosecution because the couple got together and claimed that my friend was the antagonist. Good old British justice.

10 year ago when i was still in my early 20's i would of probably dealt with the situation differently

but i knew with being on a work trip i really cant be going to the police cells for popping this creature of a man
plus as people mentioned there is always the risk of arresting me as the attacker and the women beater being seen as the victim

I think the outcome of what happened was the best way it could of turned out as i didnt need to
lift my hand to him but i did get up in his face to let him know i was not messing around and he was staying there until the police arrived

I am just so disgusted people like this are on the streets as these people think they can get away with anything
So what was the problem exactly?

Well done Nizmo,

I would love to think I (and most people) would have acted the same, but the sad truth is, probably not

Good on you niz, people like you are the kind of people we should all be. Not afraid to help those in need instead of always thinking of number 1. Its a shame the police cant kick the **** out of ********* like that.

Where as your intentions were good, it's normally best to remain out of a domestic argument even though the scumbag deserves a kicking, only she can help herself by reporting it and getting out of the relationship.
Not when a women is getting beaten

Not as simple as that some men manipulate women so much mentally that they just go along with anything, sad but true. A lot is mental a use not just physical. Personally I wouldn't stand for but some women are not strong mentally. They also get threatened. Of course she should just get out of that relationship pronto!

^^^^ You lot are awful ......... but I like you!

The advice about staying out of it is the sensible thing to do: many times intervening just results in the scum not getting charges pressed against them by the other half, but charges being leveled at the good Samaritan. Sad but true!

BUT the right thing to do is come to the aid of the woman.

Lol robsy

Yea its a crazy world where the person trying to help can end up being the one in trouble

It is sensible just to keep out of things and just phone the police as it stops yourself being at risk.
or if someone does intervene then they should keep there wits about them at all times.
me i had two work friends that i shouted on the way down from the hotel so when i caught the fella my two work mates were about a minute behind me.

i think that the reason scum like this are not afraid to do things like this is because so many people will turn a blind eye and not get involved as when i shouted at him from the balcony it didnt stop him at all as he must of thought i would not actually run down and grab him bit of a mistake on his part. LoL

But whether phoning the police or running to the aid of a person in need either of these are the good thing to do
but if you cant handle yourself in a bad situation just phoning the police is the best option and still is a great help to the person who is being victimised

Hmmm, forgive me for being a cynic, but one might suggest this was an *coughs* oversight for your benefit mate; if the woman places charges, they'll have all the evidence they need on her. If she refuses to press charges, but either one makes a case against you it'll be: Oh, sorry, we didn't take the full details of the good samaritan; our priority was to protect the victim!

It must boil police officers pi$$ when things like that happen!

That happened to me before which is why I don't get involved with these things now, and yes I did punch her before anyone asks.
