OK, so a remap's expensive, and might not solve the problem.
However, what it certainly will do is - no harm.

The ecu's telling the engine to carry on 'as was', but the engine's far different to what it was previously.

It's thirstier, it's being fed (well, needs to be fed) faster and more at one time.

You can't change a poodle into a greyhound, feed it the same diet, exercise it the same and then expect it to perform like a greyhound.

I hope you get it sorted (and a good night's sleep eventually, with those two newcomers !)
