A great wheel, had these in 17" on my old car. Stick to the original colour, don't mess with perfection.
Looking forward to seeing the new car. Bug's have grown on me over the years.
You may want to start looking for better brakes, I wasn't that impressed with the standard brembo's on my newage. The car is to heavy (But then I was used to 6 pots on my old type R). The porsche set up I have now is awesum.

They need a refurb so it's a matter of which colour, I do like the darker gloss bronzes as they always look good.
When I had my previous S202 I had the Performance Friction 01 compound brake pads and I found them very good indeed, I will be trying a set of these as I want to keep this car as original as possible.

No thanks Stu been there and done the BBS wheels thing before
and picked them up from Maggs on Saturday morning. They will look like new once Ryan has worked on them though, they aren't in terrible condition as they are now though.

Too right, I was actually thinking the exact same thing, great minds and all that.
Thanks Kev, I am thinking of white though - I didn't use to be a fan but it's really grown on me now though but I wouldn't be looking forward to the constant cleaning though.
I like the look of white but I'd never cope with the brake dust.
An S202 is what it is so I'd be keeping it as near to OEM as possible. That's the beauty of these cars IMO.

I'm all up for a Leary set just for the chavfest shows
They look very similar indeed to my Rota Gra's ty.
Personally have always been a big fan if any white wheels on a blue newage, sets the car off really nice.

I am not so sure about a leary set, although I did see a pic of a WR blue hawkeye with similar wheels in cherry red paint with a pearlescent or candy paint job and they did look quite good.

Loving the new car Ty, good find!
On the wheels front I would go somewhere in between gunmetal and silver with steel grey. It looks cleaner for longer and doesnt seem to be the most common of choices at the minute which makes it work for me. Will look good with WR blue aswell.
That said, I love the idea of a crazy coloured set, whatever happened to the orange idea you had a while back...........................

I hadn't thought of a mid gun metal / silver colour and that would look good as well, another thing to ponder.

The orange wheels were sold and then the buyer pulled out of the sale, there was no other interest so in the end I got the tyres taken off andthey went for scrap value - about £30 from memory.

I think I would like a slightly darker wheel colour having though about it, something like the titanium colour below:

or something a little darker like a custom magnesium colour, as seen on Ryan's engine bay recently.

or even a dark bronze type colour

So what you are saying is you still have no clue what colour you want!
Love that engine bay colour by the way.

Not for me sorry Tubby, and I certainly am not buying real carbon wheels.

I noticed last night that my car has got Blobeye mirrors fitted to it (likely Spec C ones as they are plain flat black), and as I want the car as original as possible save for a few minor cosmetic changes I decided to source a set of original Bugeye mirrors.

The correct Bugeye mirrors should been one piece and for the S202 painted in paint code 08V which is black mica even though the car is WR blue 02C.
Luckily a set of Bugeye mirrors including delivery is quite cheap, and it would really bother me knowing I had the wrong mirrors fitted to the car.
I have also ordered a Zunsport lower grille in black, for cosmetic reasons (to close up the gaping hole in the bumper) and for protection as well for the oil cooler which sits just a little back from the bumper lower aperture.
Thanks to Stu (53) for the Zunsport discount code as well.

I did think about the dark bronze but the slightly darker magnesium won out in the end.

My Defi setup, STi Duracon gearknob, Perrin boost control solenoid, replacement mirrors and Zunsport lower grille all turned up today.
There is only the wait now until the end of October to collect the car once it's road legal now to look forward to, at least this time next week it will be 1 day into it's 6 week sea journey.
