True, however, the Iphone display like the Samsungs is Parallax scrolling which is a fake parallax effect, it is not real parallax as there is not multiple different viewpoints.

Wikipedia
Parallax scrolling is a special scrolling technique in computer graphics, wherein background images move by the camera slower than foreground images, creating an illusion of depth in a 2D video game and adding to the immersion.[1] The technique grew out of the multiplane camera technique used in traditional animation since the 1940s,[2] and was popularized in the 1982 arcade game Moon Patrol. "creating an illusion of depth" Parallax scrolling creates the illusion of Parallax.

Try being less obtuse with what you quote as the guy said "fake parallax" not "fake parallax scrolling".

"I magaged to turn off the annoying fake parallax."

What's right about that statement? And how am I wrong by saying that it's not fake? Genuinely curious.

It is fake parallax by using a method of 2d imaging called parallax scrolling, why do you find that too hard to understand or are you being deliberately obtuse to try and be right in a discussion where you are CLEARLY wrong.

Just because macworld doesn't say so doesn't make it so. It is the same on android, commodore 64 and every other platform that has used parallax scrolling to simulate a parallax.

I am not knocking parallax scrolling, but it IS fake parallax as the parallax doesn't actually exist, it is merely an optical illusion.

Macworld says “parallax effect” which is pretty much fake parallax....
