Good.

For the past few years the Electoral Register is 'real time' ie. it isn't now prepared in December and applicable from the following Feb.
That means that any name/address on it can reasonably be taken to be current. (It's the responsibility of the person to notify the council of a change of address, so if he hasn't that's his lookout).

I think you've taken every reasonable step to ensure the veracity of the information you're about to impart, and in the interests of preventing further possible fraud and other criminal activity it might be worth warning us.

I also wonder how useful your information would be to any creditor wishing to issue a summons in the (Small Claims) County Court?

NB I'm not a lawyer nor do I have a legal background.

PS the best way of hurting people is to harm their pockets and reputations.

What is is which people nowadays.

I saw me trading with people on here years ago, I know that I sent an exhaust system to a Scottish guys on the basis that when he received it, I got some money sent to me.
I know that I got money posted to me (approx £250, recorded del.) for a new sealed xbox360, the buyer then requested his own courier to collect it once I signed for the money.

Seems now that you now trade with a very high risk of getting shafted

Last year I bought a NUR spec of some one at the other end of the country from me and he sent it without me paying to make sure I was happy with it first and trusted me to send him the payment which I did.

Some people you can trust and some are just out to scam with no intention of sending anything...Ways and means of dealing with people like this IMO, Hope you get it resolved sooner rather than later, If not just sell the debt on for someone to sort

Not a bad area at all. Oldish private estate mainly.

Surprises me, I was expecting Westcliff (of "Skint" fame), Riddings or Crosby.

The correct thing to do is to pass this info on to other forums where he is known...

I only really go on SN... but he is known on the vectra site to name one...

Share the info and ask any users to report experiences of his activity to the fraud team.

Without this, the police will do ZERO......

So we all act or we all shut up!

acting in the correct manner as above is good.

it always makes me laugh on these threads where you get the odd tool saying lets all have a meet and go to his house

i hope you get some joy but the police wont do a lot in this matter as it involves them putting some effort in to catch a scammer

I agree with TT.... probably not a good idea to ScoobyBomb him at his home....

If you know whats he's done.... report him.... Then he will get picked up...

As you seem to be doing.

I think the OP was looking for support, advice etc. etc. and he's got plenty of it from a lot of members, very helpful and useful information.

NY, feel free to pm me with info - anything that's proof of a failure to carry out his part of the bargain.
Can't guarantee anything, apart from looking at all ways to try to get your money back, NOT ways to accept it's gone for good.
