No, but I do know where you mean.
Taking it to the real ring in July so will pass on the cannock version.
Also, I do get that dicks drive all makes of car but I what I was getting at is that do you find other people in Jap cars in particular taget imprezas as when out in my vw eveyone is very chilled towards each other.

Yeah very good I bit and I'm old enough to know better
But I will admit I don't get the hate for cars with vinyl wrapped panels, tbh I don't even mind the ones with rally graphics, not my cup of tea personally but along with the evo probably the only car that can pull them off.
My original post was a bit tongue in cheek after a few comments in my members gallery thread.
Back on topic I will say I'm more cautious when driving the impreza as the stigma attached to them and should you have a crash you know what people's first opinion would be.

I used to run a 997 Carrera S and it wasn't exactly breathtakingly quick. It was very nice but the running costs were disproportionate to what the car was capable of. It is the reason I never moved on to a newer model.
A well sorted Impreza like many of the owners have on here would obliterate one, and my Cosworth is indeed a noticeably faster car.
I haven't driven the 991 Carrera S but I doubt it's leagues ahead.
As for image, I've received plenty of abuse off other road users simply for being in a fast car over the years. I once had an entire van full of chavs spitting out of a window and giving me Vs when all I was doing was driving on the inside at 70mph minding my own business.
I have to say I generally find people down South to be more aggressive and with less road manners.

Yeah, I quite agree, there are many Imprezas out there that would show the 911 a clean pair of heels, though once you get into 3 figure speeds (not on the public road obviously) the better aerodynamics of the 911 and the lack of turbo reliance make it quicker than most Imprezas I'd have thought. I certainly notice the Impreza having the aero properties of a wall at higher speeds where as the 911 is still pulling hard at 130+. Two totally different cars though and both awesome fun to drive which to me is what matter much more than speed.
