It does happen to me in the impreza, it seems to bring out the boy racer in other drivers.

I previously had a BMW 5 msport, this brought out the aggressive side of people for some reason. When I borrowed my mums Ka I seemed to get tailed gatied a lot.

Some people just act weird on the road.

I still drive my golf everyday to work and make the 80 trip most days with very little going on....but the moment I get in the impreza and either go somewhere with the wife or on my own the idiots come out. I was only out in it 20 minutes last night and had run in's with a swift and fiesta st.

The guy in the rx8 i referanced was the most silly so far....but after what you've all said I expect more.

When I am in my dub (a 96 vento) I never get any issues.....but thats only becuase you could get out and run faster than how it goes.

Still really love the impreza though, wanted one all my life so to finally have one feels great.

In all fairness I don't usually get much hassel when in mine. I have a daily driver with a 'steam locomotive appreciation society' sticker in the back which seems to get more people up my **** and round me.

Might have to stick one on the Sub.

You should try driving a Ferrari as a daily. It's a real pita.

Everybody and I mean everybody wants to interact with you somehow. Girls either get all smiley or give it the 'I don't care about your posh car look', jealous chavs drive close behind and park next to you at tesco's. they have no consideration for your lovely red bodywork and then the retards bank their door against it! No apology either.

Then every pig, sorry I meant copper in the land wants to pull you over to check your details. Speed bumps and crap roads are a pain and the local tyre place take the pee when you go for a new set of part worns.

The Poles at the hand wash don't use a fresh sponge and use that bloody spray thing all over the bodywork.

This is one of ye reasons I'm in a Subaru so I don't have to put up with all that crap.

A well sorted Impreza like many of the owners have on here would obliterate one, and my Cosworth is indeed a noticeably faster car.

I haven't driven the 991 Carrera S but I doubt it's leagues ahead.

As for image, I've received plenty of abuse off other road users simply for being in a fast car over the years. I once had an entire van full of chavs spitting out of a window and giving me Vs when all I was doing was driving on the inside at 70mph minding my own business.

I have to say I generally find people down South to be more aggressive and with less road manners.

Another vw owner jumping into the dark side.

As a fellow dub fantatic I'm still finding it a bit of a culture shock tbh, the dub scene was a lot less bitchy, there's no real rules within the dub scene apart from great big body kits are a no/no, people get just as many thumbs up for a modified sticker bomb mk2 golf as the guy with the imaculate restoration project gets.

I'm getting a vibe from reading topics on here that there is 2 camps and trains of thought standard and chav. Oh and all classics are chav sheds not worthy of sharing the same Tarmac as there more expensive younger siblings.

I started to get a soft spot for scoobs due to the number of stanced ones turning up at vw shows. Hence why I have one now

Think you will find the fake roof scoop was removed 3 days after I got the car just got to remove the black tiger seal that was used to stick it on.

Anyway I'm quite happy with my fake blue Peter sticky back plastic roof bonnet and boot.

If all classics looked the same it would be bloody boring.

Problem with the net is to many people are styling cars based on Internet build thread replys resulting in hundreds of like for like cars at shows and no one drawing to try something different for fear of being shot down by a keyboard

Greatly appreciated.

Someone has to provide you guys with entertainment.

Back to original post but is it just me or do other people find other road users get really pissed off stuck behind you when you stick to speed limits. It's never a problem in the works van but as soon as I'm out in the impreza people seem to get Ramsey over it

You say you get other jap cars trying to race you but in my experience they are no worse than the usual Audi/VW/BMW drivers that sit on your rear bumper. I just ignore them usually.
Can't say I have found the jap scene 'bitchy', most local clubs are pretty decent and helpful.

Made me laugh mate!!!

Same thing with living in a million pound mansion!! Cleaning all those rooms can be a nightmare, and having to have your swimming pool cleaned every couple of weeks, and imagine when you pull up to your electric gates and you have to wait until they open!! or even worse having to decide which bathroom to use!!!

Proper stressful I tell you, and you get those paupers driving down your street, just to see how the other half live!!

Im glad I live in a 3 bed semi detached mate, I could'nt live with the hassle of those big mansions!!!!

Yep, to be fair can’t argue about the comments about Cannock. The dual carriage ways and retails parks really don’t help the chav boy racer issue. Great MTBing though on the chase.

Still very much into my dubs although it will be some time before my own makes it back onto the road.
