Yep shopping with skill is definitely a fine art and I'm with you on the quality footwear 110%, also quite often price is not a good indicator of quality, especially when it comes to some of the newer fancy names, you also have to be careful with stuff that has been quality in the past as it often goes down with popularity.

Sorry but one day if you are lucky you will be 50 and wearing jeans as |I do you don't waken up and think I am to old to wear jeans as for hot pants and mini skirts I have out grown them ,,,, last 3 pair of jeans have been Tommy Hilfiger all as new but only wear them for 4 hours at weekend with loud shirt and dress jacket. Every day jeans are Levi, Braxx or Jack jones all fair well.

I've been through Armani, Versace, Moschino and Ralph Lauren ones but hands down prefer the fit of Levis. Must have just shy of 20 pairs. All bar two are twisteds. I generally scout for them second hand as that style has long since gone out of vogue but they are quality jeans. The cordouroy versions don't wear quite as well but the fit is perfect for me.

What's with the ageism? I'm almost 50 and never wear trousers, always in jeans, ok I don't look 50 but I spent most of my working life wearing trousers, shirts and ironing them every day, can't remember the last time I picked up an iron, even though I don't mind ironing, I still don't want to have to pick one up for as long as possible, mostly because it involves being in polite society, which is probably my greatest dislike, can't think of anything I dislike greater than being around people with whom I have to be polite and mind my P's and Q's.
*** that.

I have a pair of Wrangle bootcut and a pair of Superdry straight fit jeans both worn in rotation. I don't go out often enough or care what people think in order to buy more. I have a pair of nice brown shoes for dates and a pair of Vans for every other social occasion, otherwise my Nike trainers that are probably 5 years old get worn.

Don't worry about them. They stalk you because they think you boast empty with your stories. If you back your stories up with your hard core evidence, they'll see their bum and leave you alone.

Have had some expensive jeans, best fitting pair was some YSL, cost a lot but first couple of washes and you couldn't wear them.

Good taste my man, also love the hamburgs, used to own a pair of green ones with yellow slashes. Defo something addictive with classics, not keen on the new age classics though, classic wannabes lol
