logic or lack of wtf are you on about, i said 1st gen or2nd it makes no odds, they are still immigrants. to a certain degree we all are, apart from my and most english peoples family tree's go back hundreds of years not 40-50 years tops, being called british imho now is a insult. as anyone living here or born here can be called british, i am english end of, my mother traced our family tree back to the great fire of london. in fact a certain posh part of london bears our family name. the question was do you remember or know of the song eastenders sang in the late 50's it's coming true

Some of the views aired on this thread can also be construed as being extreme, and I'm certainly not shy of pointing that out either
.I'd like to know what you think the solution to this is, are you suggest some sort of collect punishment should be handed out to the Muslim community?

I agree with the second part of your post; I'm only intolerant of intolerant ideologies. However, I do think you're confusing ingnorance and extremism. Is there a statement or something of that nature from the EDL website that would support your view that they want foreigners or even Muslims "kicked-out"?

The original intention of the EDL might be to have a good standing against protecting the country but if you looked on any of their Facebook groups yesterday, the horrible uneducated messages of "support" I read was quite sickening. I dont see their upstanding educated members trying to unassociate themselves with these people or even better trying to explain to them the realities. And I am not talking about a minority, this was by far a majority of people. The real face of the EDL because theyre the ones making the noise - so to speak.
I'm not accusing them of this BUT it can quite easily appear that they have a website and/or an educated person as the front face of the group to keep everything above board with the law but still put a big wooden spoon in the middle of the country and see what happens without seperating themselves from the nastiness.

try watching the aussie immigration program on tv (if you have one) thats what this country needs right now, detaine overnight charge them for the privilidge then return them back to where they came from, and fine the airline for bringing them here, no cost to aussie taxpayer needed that way

Im ex forces (Royal Marines) and like to think I can look after myself but I know I probably wouldnt have approached these two nutters. Especially if they were armed and I wasn't.

No doubt he will be placed in solitary confinement aswell. Common knowledge that many criminals purely commit crime to get put back into prison because its so cushtee in this country. Watched a programme a few weeks back about it.
