Neither I, or anyone else I know is tolerant of extremism. It is however an unfortunate fact of life.
Some of the views aired on this thread can also be construed as being extreme, and I'm certainly not shy of pointing that out either.

The original intention of the EDL might be to have a good standing against protecting the country but if you looked on any of their Facebook groups yesterday, the horrible uneducated messages of "support" I read was quite sickening. I dont see their upstanding educated members trying to unassociate themselves with these people or even better trying to explain to them the realities. And I am not talking about a minority, this was by far a majority of people. The real face of the EDL because theyre the ones making the noise - so to speak.

I'm not accusing them of this BUT it can quite easily appear that they have a website and/or an educated person as the front face of the group to keep everything above board with the law but still put a big wooden spoon in the middle of the country and see what happens without seperating themselves from the nastiness.
