what a pair of w@nkers. Tut tut.
Kev has to be the most honest car specialist I know. Two years ago he gave ME money lol, as there was a part that didnt need changing. Most garages would have just not said anything, but kudos to Kev and his team and karma will be kicking a pair of dimwits in the nads no doubt
I will be sharing that post you have done guys. Will be nice to see a pic of them behind bars before the end of the week

Unfortunately it's a civil matter, and the Small Claims Court is the only (legal) way forward.
The only general advice I can offer is that perhaps garages should consider specifying that parts do not become the property of the person until they are paid for, and that payment must be made within x number of days.
In that instance I presume that the business would be entitled to strip the car of them.
However, that's almost the same as some poor person buying a stolen vehicle. Imagine buying a scooby and having someone turn up at your door saying they're about to repossess the turbo off it.

The car belongs to the new owner, the debt stays with the tawts.

I agree, however our policy to help people has paid off, many people have shook hands and thanked us stating that they could not have afforded to keep their dream car if it wasn’t for us helping spread the cost.
Do we stop that policy now due to just one scumbag.
One of our long standing customers who pays monthly is a vicar.
Pulled up by the police one night after a sermon they accused him of using a mobile phone whilst driving, he explained that he didn’t posses one and invited them to search the car, realising their mistake they asked what sort of power his P1 was, "370 BHP", he replied, they asked why a gentleman of the cloth would want this kind of power or indeed afford this kind of machine, he answered, "paid for by the lord, tuned by the devil".
Lets hope he says one for us tonight regarding the robbing scumbags.
cheers
Kev

Hi Kev!
We had somebody with an Evo do us over once when our guard was down.
Basically, she had work done, £1600, and was allowed to collect the car without paying. She knew damn well she owed the money.
We managed to find her address, and we started county court proceedings. It's easy form filling. I put just a little pressure on by driving down to her house, and taking pictures of the car outside her door, which I then posted to her without comment.
We got the money out of her quite quickly by using a perfectly legal system. She had no argument about owing the money as she had no defence. She just said that she had no money, and we'd have to settle for £5 a week etc. We then asked for a FULL account of her finances. That's ALL the money she had coming in, and from what source, with bank statements, rent books, any credit she had, a breakdown of all her spending to the last penny etc etc. If she didn't do this in two weeks, she would be arrested. I figured she had something to hide, benefit fraud etc. Sure enough, she coughed up in one week. Result!

This sort of person is highly likely to be a 'drain on society'.
Once they realise that their 'life on the dole' is threatened they'll realise that it's best to settle up.
