Unless you have an original iPad or older iPod or original iPhone..........
Geezer
You're ****ting me! Are you seriously trying to berate Apple for the amount of time they support their products? Wake up man! Over 90% of Android users are out of support!!

Are you seriously trying to big up Apple because they only need to update a handful of devices?

Which is why Apple have it so easy with the Macs compared to MS with Windoze.
Yes I am. Apple make the hardware and the software, desktop, mobile and TV. It's why Android and Windows can't compete. If you haven't worked that out by now there's no hope.

Simply point out the fact you make it out like Apple products are future proof when in fact that is simply not the case.
Also, the original iPad is hardly 'old tech' is it? It's not like "my 15 year old Apple device can be upgraded". It's only 3 years since it came out, we are awaiting iPad 5! So, if you want this wonderful iOS7, you have to shell out for God knows what, as we don't know what devices will support iOS7!
Apple really are no better, the reason you refuse to see that doesn't make it untrue.
So, iPad released just over 3 years ago, four revisions since then, one of which is simply a connector. So that's 1 release a year and you find that unreasonable?? Dumbfounded.
The original iPad still performs as well as the latest Android device, amazing eh!
And no better than what? Which other manufacturer designs the hardware and the software, that's right... none.

Not unreasonable, no, but you tout Apple being sooooooo good to their customers, you can upgrade, unlike those poor Android or whatever customers, but they are no better. Most people do not upgrade every year, more like every 2 at the most, but more likley to be 3, 4 or even more. Those people are now in exactly the same boat as Android users as their original iPad is not compatible. They are forced into keeping iOS n or buying new hardware, exactly the same as other vendors. Phone users will upgrade sooner due to the way contracts work, but tablet owners (and they are a large capital outlay, unlike the drip feed of a phone contract) are hit hard no matter who they have chosen.
And why do you keep harping on about desiging the hardware and the software? What's so hard about that? Or good? There are arguments for and against that model, which are not worth repeating here.
also no other manufacturer loads the price as heavily as apple, you missed that one jack
Loads the price! Hardly, quality support and materials are not cheap. It's been proved many times that the total cost of ownership of Apple products is far less than others.

What a load of drivel. I'd much rather be an iPad users who's enjoyed 3 years of outstanding support than a Samsung user who's dropped like a stone after 6 months.
Arguments not worth repeating here, that's a cop out if I ever heard one.

as long as there all doing then its all ok isn't it,,,,,,,, is it?????
by why the price loading when its cheap as chips to make?
Look at the materials and the support offered. Ground breaking manufacturing techniques aren't cheap, you should ask why Samsung phones cost the same when they're plastic and come with a phone line in India to call for help... which you will need.
Unfortunately the iOS and android debate will continue, I for one chose apple and the build quality and design of there stuff is superb, the iTunes and App Store are great and they just feel better put together, they also hold good resale price when you want to upgrade, but I also find that once you have chosen one system its very rare to change. I currently have 2 iPods an iPhone and and ipad. Only issue I have with apple is the evolution often makes accessories obsolete but then that applies with most technology

Well going by your logic, if Apple products are so so good that even old devices works amazing well against current Android devices, why would you even need the support, thus paying for something you don't need because "it just works".
Support encompasses many things. Some people might like to go to the store for some training on a certain application, some might wonder what a certain button or command does, and sometimes components fail, a Samsung chip or hard drive for instance.
