"Android crushing Apple and MS"

You'll be using an iPhone 8 or a Galaxy S22 - iPhone killer #22 - before you see 3G let alone 4G. So what's the fuss? It's the Samdroid users obsession with bigger numbers, that's what's up.

Define not going anywhere then define better. It's way too simple just making sweeping statements without references. In the last year Apple have released boat loads of innovative hardware and software, this year we get iOS 7 a natural proggression that will of course be a revalation and a glimpse of how other operating systems will evolve.
You've been spouting the demise of Apple for years now and they just keep getting better.
I see your bum chum Cockforger's arrived, can you two circle jerk out of public view please.

The last 3 updates of iOS have all been bugged so badly that they caused major issues with the handset (like overheating batteries and batteries lasting less than an hour), not even going to mention Apple Maps (ooops just did ) and the 8 million iphone 5's that were returned due to "faults".
So as for those sweeping statements, there are none, you can see that iOS and Apple are not the market leaders so they need to look at what others are doing, and iOS7 wont be the answer, iOS hasn't evolved at all, its just gotten worse with every update.

Beastie, get back in your cage, your confused. The iPhone 5 works great with 4G on EE in the UK. Now, a quick question for you, what is your data allowance? Mine is unlimited and streams Netflix and BBC iPlayer and all kinds of great content without interruption, saves my home network bandwidth, what am I missing out on exactly?
Do you see us all moving to EE so we can use our iphone 5 on 4G??

Have a think for a minute about all of those cheap Android units out there and major iPhone killers that never sold, they don't get repaired they go straight to landfill. That's the shocking truth.

Funny how people who haven't used iOS seem to say the same things. Every update for me has been awesome, no issues and great new features, yes that includes Apple maps, which are excellent for many reasons, being able to find a Kebab shop in a remote northern town is not a priority for me.

I have used both, and to be fair, day to day usage there's nowt to choose between them. Apple has the edge in some places, Android in others.
But, to say that each release is awesome is stretching it somewhat. iOS 6.1 bricked my iPod. It did some very weird things to my wife's iPhone. When I eventually fixed my iPod, it was slower. They screwed maps. They are becoming exactly what all the Apple fans of old despised. Arrogant, complacent, safe.
I have no doubt that someone will take on that mantle again, but it won't be Apple. Every dog has its day. Their's has been, possibly.
Android and Samsung are now seen as the innovators. And then they will fade too, when someone else steps up. It's just the way it is.

Come on then. What innovation? The whole Android community were wailing and stomping their feet yesterday, no new version for the developer conference, want to know why? Apple are about to release a major update, Google are waiting for ideas.

Oh and dpb, all updates have been awesome for *me* your experience may differ.
And just a quick one on maps, I still use Google maps sometimes but for navigation Apple maps have placed my TomTom in the bin, I say that's great, you say that's screwed.

Doomed... again. If you can let me know when 1 Infinite Loop is closing down that would be nice. I have never made a support call, not needed, but would like to get one in before they close the door.

Poor ol' Blackberry......Could Microsoft be the new "Apple" in the smartphone market? Note the decline of Apple's market share despite the slight increase in shipment and the gains for Microsoft....sure it's early days but......

What a great report, shows just how common Android has become what with all the 10p telephones coming out of the east. But shipment numbers mean nothing, I run a lovely somewhat Subaru related Web Site, it's pretty popular, here's a break down of Mobile traffic, as you can see iOS dominates in real world usage. This is common across all web sites.

iPhone 5, 5 million *sales* in 3 days, restricted number of countries.
Galaxy 4, *shipped* 6 million units in 4 weeks global roll out.
Got to love the facts, you Samdroids need to smell the coffee, you're victims of marketing.
