Never knew Kev but as Carl has said above he was a fellow SNET member and a fellow scooby owner and by the sounds of things a fantastic chap. RIP and my thoughts go out to his family.
Also great to read about LWC's gesture, what a true gent. So refreshing to hear there are some genuinly fantastic people left in this greed ridden world!

As for Kev he will be missed, there will never be another like him, I'm sure all that met him over the years will never forget him, but will miss everything that was him. Forever he will be the "Helmut of Trier" !

Only just seen this, very sad and shocking news. I spent a week with Kevin and the guys in Germany for the 2012 ADAC rally. He was a friendly, genuine chap, who made us feel welcome. As already mentioned by so many, our thoughts are with Sharon and the family.
This pic was taken just before he 'won' his Helmut award, as a true gent he received his prize and quite happily sat with it on the table in front of him. Something I will never forget

Only just seen this. I never met Kevin but I regularly saw "RoboCop" in various posts.
From comments here he was quite a character & will missed.

I'm hardly on here anymore (just popped in for some tyre recommendations) and I can't quite believe this. He was a regular when I used to spend more time than I should have on here and always came across like a nice sounding bloke with a cracking car.
