Another quick update. having to buy 2 new front wings, the caster mods i have done have pushed the wheels rite forward. so the wheels are catching the arches when i turn. bit of a nightmare but one of those things i guess

Update of the old forged engine.

So Andy split the old engine today and found why it blew or a possible cause. The guy who built it for me before fitted a huge 15mm oil pump on which is to big and the relief valve stuck. Also I was told the heads were spec c and had been ported and polished. In fact they were standard UK heads. And are fooked! So luckily andy has a set of UK heads which will have to go on for now

So I sold my van last week and had a couple of ideas of what to get. A nice sensible daily car to use and scooby for weekend toy..

This is why blokes should not go car shopping on there own.. because we don't do sensible very well.. I came home with this

1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza Turbo
Fully forged engine running 270bhp

Yeah needs a bit of tlc and paint. Couldn't believe how much these have gone up in value. One of this spec is 6-7k now. It has not one bit of rust on it and 148km on clock. Was going to do it up a bit then sell on. But after this weekend may keep it so much fun

That's not difficult to do though!

You need a levin 111 set up on there tbh. I was chasing my mate in his 500hp impreza in mine, all going well until the last few corners when. I hit the brakes and nothing happened! The discs were glowing lol

Ahh didn't know that. What have you done to help with the back end? I'm thinking of taking it to Cadwell on 4th of April as Scooby won't be mapped by then

I fitted trd anti roll bars and anti lift kits. You will always struggle with the back end due to the weight of it! I can lift the back end up by hand lol.

They are fun, but lack in certain departments

Handling is terrible. Once Scooby is done and mapped in a couple of weeks. Not decided what to do with it yet.

Can't wait for it now. Engine is all together and hopefully going in tomorrow. Just got to wait for a mapping day then.

If glanza goes wouldn't mind something quick and smart that is comfy and quiet enough for motorway trips
