I was going to call the yesterday but didn't get done with work till nearly 7pm then i had my 4 month old lad as the Mrs was going out for her mates 30th. Been out with family all day today so going to call them tomorrow

I don't feel threatened in the slightest but it would be best to have it on record if something did happen to my car

I had one threaten me once, he lived in London and wasnt happy that i said the t-shirt he sold me was fake. He said he was going to drive the 200 miles to sort me out, i asked if it was worth it for a £20 item and said i hope you can back up your threats. I recieved a full refund and nothing more was said

i bet if he'd been 2 miles away he wouldn't have said anything like that! This is the 2nd time i've had **** from somebody on Ebay. The 1st time was a few years ago. He threatened to come round to mine & knock me round the street. I told him to crack on as he wasn't that far away. Told him i was at home waiting.

He just abused me on the phone a bit more while I paced around the room starting to lose my rag. The Mrs hid my car keys as she knew what was coming next.

So...... I waited till she'd gone to bed then got my spare set & paid him a visit instead. I sat outside his house blowing the car horn, he looked out the window but wouldn't come to the door!

he's banned already, i got an email from Ebay at about 6.30am yesterday saying they'd taken action against him as his behavior wasn't acceptable!

I would loved to have seen his face when he found out he'd been given the boot!

There needs to be some sort of new technology where you can view peoples reactions to certain things, and this is one of those moments

oh dear! lol! i really can't be arsed with the internet keyboard warriors especially as they're always miles away so you know full well nothing is going to happen!

Then they're actually stupid enough to think that we're going to believe they're going to drive hundreds of miles to try dish out a beating!

Report the threats to the police, simply so that if anything does come of it (doubt it will) then it would be on record that it was reported, and give a pretty good indication of who is responsible.

Pointless, friend of mine had a threat twice about his car, he complained to the police twice.. few days later his car was smashed in. Police said he couldn't prove anything and didn't want to speak to the threatening party or the friends with him when the threats too place.

That's a shoddy state of affairs. Personally, I'd still report the tw*t, he may get a visit and at least it will be recorded that he's made threats.

Taken me a few weeks to calm down about it .. considering I was one of the people who heard the direct threat ..

No faith in them at all .. glad the OP isn't being scared by the ****, but some times (sadly) they do follow through with the threats and the law isn't interested.

well on the off chance anybody does pay me a visit to damage/steal the car i have 2 very alert dogs that make a racket if anybody comes near the drive. Then there's several sensor lights backed up by recording CCTV.

The dogs sleep next to the porch which is right next to where my cars are parked. We also live in a bungalow & from my bedroom door it's about 4m to the porch.

Also where we live he or any of his mates would stand out. Every single person in our village is white. It's a very quiet area so anybody loitering around usually gets watched by the neighbours. The only reason I have CCTV is because i put it up at our last house when we lived closer to town & i have a lot of work equipment. I only put it up at the house we're in now because i'd rather use it of i've paid for it

Anyways, the car is insured. I got it extremely cheap due to the work it needed which i have done myself for next to nothing. If it was damaged to the point of being written off then i'm pretty sure i'd be paid out more than the car has cost me

FFS as much as a **** the ebayer seems to be.

For gods sake SNers stop making all these threats along the lines of 'we don't live far from him' or 'let's have a meet outside his house' it doesn't make you seem big or hard it just makes you sound pathetic, really pathetic, verging on the line of cowardly pathetic.

Please guys, don't go down to that level. If you are going to pay him a visit do so and take a mug shot otherwise please stop the hardman rhetoric.

nobody is actually making threats, people are just taking the p*ss & just having a bit of funny banter. I take it you don't have a sense of humour
