dont think it has impact on edu, thought they were seperate systems. I have no 4 code pin for mine, i just keep the keys working. I'd like to find out how you get the 4 code pin, subaru uk might be able to help.

Steve, have a look at this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-pad-code.html

I didn't know my code either, but I managed to reset it using the method described by gazza in the above thread.

The ECU will not have to be swapped, the alarm + immobiliser is separate.

Hmm, unless you know the code for the immobiliser *or* you have a working key (which it sounds like you haven't), then I think you're stuffed on that front, unfortunately. Hopefully your car isn't a grey import (like mine was...), in which case subaru should be able to get the code.

thanks for all the replies guys, kinda sorted now, a pal transported the car to a local garage who then pricked me about for four days and charged me £150 to reprogram a new fob, wasnt too happy with the service tbh but at least im back on the road.
they were telling me all week that the new fob hadnt arrived yet, phoned on thirsday dinnertime to be told again "the new fob still isnt here", i then had a call of a top bloke (alarm guy) that would come out and disable the alarm for £85 or disable and fit a new alarm system for 165 to 299 (depending on which system i wanted) all in, sweet..... phoned the garage back and said "i will be there in 20 mins to get my car back" was told i couldnt have the car back as the whole dash was out as they needed to get access to the ecu, um... wtf?? so myself and my pal went there anyway only to find the car was ready with new fob already setup, oh and the dash all intact - shock! who knew that could be refitted so quick.
the guy then says he also wants another 60 quid to fit a new keypad as he recons its faulty, but told him 2 do 1, when i questioned it he said "if u have quick fingers u should be ok" um... wtf?????

as a small after thought, i was told i couldnt have it all week, there is snow everywhere, trips been reset (and i didnt take a note of the milage b4 my pal droped it off), thirsday 2.00pm told the the fobs still not there, 2.20pm im there and the cars running fine, make of that what u will.

so we live and learn... will they ever get my business again, hell no.

anybody want a top alarm guys number in the midlands send me a pm.
