Do these boxes let you do the same thing as sky+
Are there 'catch up' channels etc also?

They can record as such but no series links stuff, and no to the catchup side of things

Indeed I use my Humax youview box for that on main channels, the Skybox can use a usb hdd/flashdrive as a pvr storage medium. Scheduling is somewhat clunky it would seem though.

very clunkey its more stable now with my 1tb usb 3 harddrive i had lots of issues using a usb 2 and a sata powered drive

Only using a USB3.0 1/2 terabyte drive.

Seems stable enough though.

Thanks ANT the B S setting worked my amp is now showing the correct sound

I finally got my amp back from richer sounds after they sent it to genserve for 5 weeks and its come back with a small dint on the top and to cap it off the moulded plug has the plastic earth pin missing

Im so annoyed

At least they have fixed the ARC problem - they replaced the HDMI board and its working for now

shocking service

Well richer sounds have sorted my issue out they gave me a refund and ive got the next model up the TX-NR616 so im happy - they also agreed the damage was unacceptable they also started the warranty again and gave me another 5 years extended cover so im happy now.
