Because I'm not disappointed. This will no affect me an if it wasn't for some spotty kid and a newspaper I would never have heard of it. I'm more concerned by the latest Jailbreak, but somehow that's good news.

depend what you want out of a phone,

my upgrade path was 3gs to ip4. both bought recon through o2, ive now just finished my contract and wont pay the huge premium for the 4s/5. ive actually gone sim only with tesco 500mins-unlimted txt and bt openzone with 1gb data all for £10 a month rolling contract.

last month i was all for giving up the ip4 in favour of my dads htc sensation xl, which is a great phone, has a better headphone/music interface. but for for me the operating system just wasnt as fluid and well designed as the apple, so i went back, re jailbroke and im happy now

people will always tell you the thing they use is better than something they dont thats life, its not just phones you see it all over the forum lol

Looks like IOS 6.1.1 now adds further problems. IOS 6.1.2 gearing up for a release now:

lol IOS 6.1.100 before they get it right.

Reminds me of a piece of MS software used at work which was on Service Pack 10 before it was useable and even then it still sucked ***.

lol so many variables needed before that hack can be attempted. I don't have an unlocked bootloader so good try but pretty lame really. Anyway you should never rely on the lockscreen as the main security for the device its just an added layer.

Is there anything you can do to stop an iPad from freezing? I bought the latest iPad in December it was spot on when I first got it really fast with good Internet but it seems to be getting slower, the Internet is always slow ( SN is terrible, I often have to hit the "x" in address bar then refresh to get pages to load ) and it also seems to be freezing in the middle of games etc.
Wor lass had to turn it off and back on before as it froze and wouldn't sort itself out.

Is it just a case of waiting for the update and praying it gets better?

Cheers

Mick

Well, I have two iPhone 4S's, personal and work. On Monday this week they both started discharging the battery rapidly, even when just sat there doing* nothing. Both batteries would go from 100% to 0% in 3-4 hours without me using them. One phone was on IOS6.1.0 and the other IOS6.1.1 (from memory).
I has an appointment with the Genius bar and got nowhere. Install IOS6.2 and all will be well they said, but no it's just the same.
I've done a backup and restore to no avail. If I wipe the phones completely they're fine, but how to I recover my contacts etc ......

* but they must be doing something to lose charge this fast.

My 6.1.2 update says that it will fix an exchange calendar bug but will increase network activity and reduce battery life. As all I understand from that is the reduced battery life. Why would I update?

But why update? What will I gain apart from potentially having battery problems?

Oh well, this is going to be a blow to those who have just upgraded again to 6.1.2, as there is going to be a 6.1.3 now:

Oh yes. Talk that this one is also to plug up the holes that the current Jailbreak exploit uses as well. So takes your pick on this one, have a security flaw on the unlock and keep the current jailbreak? Or Fix the Security flaw and loose the jailbreak? Choices.

Pretty sure I read today about an Android bug, months old, still no fix. Three tiny updates in a month with massive uptake is something Android can't but wishes it could do.

I'm unable to replicate that "bug", thus using your rationale, it isn't a bug and Android is a perfect OS.
