), but I agree with what you seem to be saying.
F1 can you give me any other reason they might want to come here other than benefits and NHS.
Well the usual complaint is our jobs and our women, but to be honest unless Bulgaria and Romania are complete sh1tholes I don't see why they're bothering as the UK is pretty much f**ked and not just by the immigrants.... homegrown lazy scum. corrupt ineffectual governments, corrupt press, partially corrupt police force, over taxation etc. etc.
Well yes I do wonder that too. Hard to know really. Not sure I want to find out the hard way that the DM was right though!
Someone needs to look at this properly.
To be frank I am all for some immigration and proper multiculturism but when we are so in debt and have 2.5 million unemployed already as a country it becomes unacceptable to open the doors to hundreds of thousands more!

Most think estimated figures are quite conservative even from the likes of migration watch.
Most if not all are uneducated and unskilled from some of the poorest and deprived areas of Eastern Europe and will target the UK benefit system.

Martin I'm about as liberal as they come as regards immigrants etc. but even I can see this has the potential to not end well!
It's nothing to do with their race, country of origin or anything like that... it's just economics. We cannot afford it!

When we get some facts? Has anything changed?
Will we have solid numbers on:
How many come.
What jobs they have.
What dependents they have.
Where they plan to live.
What benefits they claim.
or will it just be an unmanaged free for all like it always has been?

True, Our little island (the EU seem to think is the size of Australia) dosen't have the natural resources like water to support this amount of people.
Its comical that people say not many will come. Exact same story as years ago when "official" predictions were a few tens of thousands.
no one knows for sure (and how can they?) but if you had to put money on it what would your guess be? Mine is at least 1 million, granted it will probably be over a several years.
All other issues aside, one of the things that I don't understand (maybe I am missing something) is that to me it would seem that the majority of eastern Europeans come here and take the low paid jobs that hardly pay any TAX, far less than they cost the government to supply them with healthcare/benefits etc (more so if they have family). If I am correct then surely it would be plain to see that each person that comes increases our country's debt even if they do benefit some businesses with "cheap" (to the business) labour. Is my logic here wrong?
