SIDC are doing tickets for £14 each so ESOC looks a bargain! (You save enough for half a cup of tea, when you get there!

Last year was the first one I've missed since it started (went to Japfest there, instead) Might just revert back to Rallyday this year.

For those of you new to Castle Combe, it's a bit of a 'one eyed hole' to get in. Last year I left Romford at 5am for Japfest and glad I did. I got there just after 7am but by 1pm there were still massive traffic jams approaching the circuit and the police were turning people away!
If you organise a convoy, make sure you set out at silly o'clock and don't stick at 60mph!

I will be making the trip to this event and cant recommend it enough, however I'll be with the RB5oc and RB320oc stand.

Just as JohnD says, the traffic near castlecombe can get very hectic so we (rb5oc) stay over night at a hotel around Swindon, giving us the chance to chat and and eat/drink together, it also more importantly means you dont have to be getting up at silly o'clock time!

Cool. I only just realised this was on a Saturday. For some reason i thought it was a Sunday lol.

 

I think Castle combe is like Oulton park,Thruxton and Lydden, they are not aloud to run race meetings on a sunday due to it being near a church or if they do you can't start racing until morning service is over because of noise

 

One completely pointless piece of information: Some years ago the village of Castle Combe was voted Britains most picturesque village
On the way there you pass through the Hamlet of 'Tiddlywink'

This Is very true!! But to miss the chance of convoying with 20 or so other RB5's and numerous RB320's is an opportunity I cannot miss..

If anyone is interested in doin some track time (especially those who got their new geo setup this wkend) then you can do 5 laps for £25... I think?!
