I see people like this quite a bit in my line of work. . One of them recently tried to engage me in a debate over the pro's and con's of overheads over third rail.

id say there is a bit of truth in that, enthusiasm usually equals excitment, and this can result in feel good hormones being released. making you feel a bit of happyness, even full on, grin educing joy!

if more people were happy, things would be better imo. although not done on purpose in all cases a lack of enthusiasm, can breed negativity.

i see many grumpy ***** on here, and id say threads of a negative nature outweigh the positive ones? - at a guess. and theres plenty negative threads about other people, especially youngsters. from young adults shody driving to other peoples crying babies on transport or that crime of poor spelling ang grammar, or those poor gypos just trying to fuel there rangerover sports by stealing your streets drain covers, or whatever.

although not all to do with enthusiasm directly - they all fall under the category of carrying a negative tone.

this is the society we raise our kids in, this is what they see growing up, yet we all expect them to respect us, and our property, our views, and just be beaming with positivity in life and making every effort to better themselves, and the lives of others ect ect ect.

now everyone likes a moan about someone, something, no-ones happy all the time, but i do beleive a positive and enthusiastic approach can rub off on young people - more than it currently does. so instead of sitting moaning about sh*t, get out with - your mostly all old so, grand kids - and get enthusiastic about something!!

i too get enthusiastic about old mechanical things, that Fred Dingby?? programme, i love that lol. i find my enthusiatic topics are mostly what others would call very boring or sad, lol

rant over , and p.s i know your not all old grumpy ***** - just a lot of you

I am happy as they come really, I generally find life amusing and interesting, I just dont like it when people try to big things up and make them seem more significant, exciting or wonderous than they actually are. I suppose that the whale bloke has to big it up a bit for TV but he was laying it on a really thick.

Always think killer Whales ae kind of an agressive Chav type Whale, all the others seem to float about all chilled and mysterious but the Killer Whale hangs around the coast battering seals and it even looks like its got a shell suit on.
