Are scoobys over rated?

Ref the Focus RS's - why are you suprised that a car with 100+ bhp more than you, with more torque, has beaten you?
Ref the Fiesta - they might not have much power, but Fiesta ST's are a very good handling car, especially if the driver is used to driving it quick. They are also very forgiving if you push them too hard.

Whey to make yourself popular on a Subaru enthusiasts forum.
Honestly if you're just on a wind up you may as well leave before one of the guys here owns you or you get banned for trolling.
I'm out as I know a deliberate wind up when I see one

Maybe it is a wind up, but I think it's more a case of him not being able to face up to his own inadequacies. Wonder if he has got a girlfriend, presumably not if he ***** like he drives

I would suggest having it setup for fast road driving and seeing if that gives you more confidence with how it handles. I have Falken 452 and don't really rate them to be honest as they always give the impression they are near the limits and to be fair the brand is borderline budget tyres, better tyres should also be on your list. I would also suggest getting the car mapped for UK fuel if its still running on the standard jap map or at least throw a bottle of octane booster in ever time you fill up or you will end up needing a rebuild

Stop looking at the car and start looking in the mirror.... that's where the problem is here

Ash, I ran FWD hot hatches for years and when I swapped to my wagon it took me a while to learn how to get the best from it...bit of time and an empty airfield and I'd imagine you will learn loads. You will get some good advice on here and you will also hear a load of old 5hite pedalled by people that know no better than to repeat what someone else on the internet said. Enjoy your car and the site

he listed a few suspension mods earlier Banny, assuming its a TEK3 v5 with mostly standard power mods it should still rip the Fiesta a new one and probably keep pace with the Focii...a new car with different driven wheels and DCCD is going to be a learning experience

Just my input, but how many Focus RS and Fiesta ST's will you see out there when they are 14 years old? Not many.
Most or all will be subjected to swinging in the breeze long before then - courtesy of the local scrapyard grabber.
Never underestimate the power of the Japanese.
