DVD Ripping Software

"However, it remains illegal to remove the technical protection method (TPM) from any copyrighted content, so a barrier remains in place where a wealth of content is concerned."
i.e DVD's Blurays
Surprised that the "all pirates should get cancer" types have not turned up and commented yet
In regards to slowness of handbrake. Usually takes about 31 mins to rip a 90 min film to m4v (apple tv 3 preset). This is on 2.33GHz i7 with 4GB ram (mid 2010 27 iMac). Is that considered slow compared to the apps mentioned for, I assume, windows based OS?

So call me a hypocrite all you like, at least mine can be used legally, your method will NEVER be legal
You are a hypocrite, don't you get it? as soon as you backup your DVD's you are breaking the law, it doesn't matter why you are doing it, or if the tools you are using are freeware, it's illegal!
Then you have the audacity to say using a piece of software past its intended trial date is the crime of the century! Unbelievable.

I merely advocated using some software for free legitimately over stealing some that does exactly what the free stuff does.

There is a huge difference between breaking the encryption on a dvd so you can use it on your ipod and stealing some software with no intention of ever paying for it.
You can't argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Nope all I'm saying is any type of theft is illegal.
You can twist the "argument" all you like, its not a question of what is worst than the other. You just seem to be unable to grasp the fact that what you are doing is also illegal.
And I don't need to resort to pathetic insults to have a discussion about it.
