Sure did Joe and I've not long got back home, couple of little glitches sorted which I knew there would be because until you drive it you don't know.
I have to say though even being in shall I call it running in mode it's the best Subaru I've driven, I can't quite explain why but I'm sure you know.

With the level and quality of work that's gone into it it's practically a brand new car.

A credit to everyone involved in the project what a day very very busy and still doing a few small jobs on the car when I got there this morning.
The car behaved perfectly without any problems as such I am pleased to say, ok my management light re appeared but I know what it is now it's the sensor in the headers so I had a steady drive off boost which I was more than happy to do, in fact I was going to drive like that anyway as what's important now is to simply add a few miles and then spanner check the car.

Plan now is to return the car to Ace in the morning and leave it there for a check over and full wheel alignment as I'm just running an approx set up initially. One small point is the car is still riding quite high on the springs, it could do with dropping around another 20mm I feel

Great to meet everyone today that came to look at the car... Cheers all

One criticism today was from Kev he said my lights need sorting out, I assumed they were out of alignment but he said they looked like miners candles

The pictures exaggerate the new and old paint line a lot more than the eye does... I'll detail the old paint over winter it just needs a little elbow grease

If so I'm running the same and to be honest I also think mine looks a little bit high as well
What other options do you have tho?

I'll get a depth gauge on the car to see what I have to play with first and then I know where I am..... I've got the kit here so I'll be looking forward to having a go.

Joe I'm running Type R struts and I was advised the spring where also standard for those, the springs were black in colour but I could see no markings on them.
I know this is a really rough measurement but I'll measure floor to highest point on the wheels arch and see what that is. 215/40/17 tyres are fitted, I can't remember if yours are the same.
Options.... And I was going to say Eibach

Damn Steve I missed you yesterday then ! I had a busy morning to say the least and managed to get a walk around after lunch but you may have left by then I could not see the cars. Pleased you liked it, I've still got a bit to do yet and when I get to the first show next year I'm hopeful it will look different again.

Joe these measurements don't really mean a lot they were rough on my driveway, when it's on level ground on the ramp I'll get them from the sills to the floor (jacking points) plus since my tyres are a 40 wall it does make for a larger arch gap. For now centre of wheel floor to arch its 652mm front and 635mm rear but when I get a true measurement I'll post it up.

Si, to measure the ride height, measure from the wheel centre to the arch line.

Followed Simon to Combe yesterday and he was in my mirror on the way home, the car has real road presence and looks damn fine
Great to have it in convoy with Glenn's S204, all 3 pack quite a punch on the road

As for the lights just add that to the list of " to do" items as they look like a couple of glow worms perhaps in time a bulb upgrade is in order.
That's small fry though, the car is superb

It's the bomb

Thanks chaps I'm pleased the car looks good on the road, it was a steady old drive but it needed to be with the car only just being bolted back together but a very very enjoyable one Glow worms Kev yes I need a set of bulbs just need to know what code numbers I need that's an easy one.

Don't forget Kev we have a rolling photo shoot on offer that I am looking forward to for sure

I'm expecting the car to be at Ace for a week or so then I'm really looking forward to a little B road excursion

One of the local lads is a very good photographer, he took a few shots of mine Saturday but the light was not good for pictures.... We needed some sunshine but I'm really pleased how the car looks on Shaun's pictures I have to say.

Next job is to order some new trim parts and clips without thinking about it then in the winter I'll get the grill, mirrors and metal trim around the rear side windows off for a refresh ready for the spring.

Yes looking forward to the rolling photo shoot, always want to get this done.

I have planned a few runs out in the twistys in order to get a few enjoyable miles under your belt.
One of which is locks garage where they do the biggest ice cream for a pound you will ever see.
They also happen to sell V Power too

It's on stilts, just like mine.

Measure from the arch to the middle of the centre caps.

Mine, from the arch to the middle of the centre caps are.

Fronts are 330mm, and the rears are 340mm.

Are yours the 50mm insert dampers? Eibach Pro's don't lower with them it appears, my Tein spring will be going back on.

Stick your hand in through the springs and push one of the dirt covers up.

50mm inserts are near to the same size as the damper body.
