Emergency meeting

Personally I find a lot of the speculation here laughable.
International Motors are basically a Franchise that imports, sells and services vehicles for a number of Motor manufacturers which happens to include Subaru.
Given the financial conditions, they are only going to bring into this country vehicles that they are able to sell and hopefully make a profit on, as in any good business.
That's one reason the Gen4 Impreza hasn't so far made it here, apart from a couple of special imports, one of which has been up for sale at £23,000 which is more expensive than the equivalent XV.
Subaru Japan are doing reasonably well with the sale of the BRZ, Gen4 Impreza and hopefully with the new Forester, which, maybe, will come here next year with a turbo version again and the BRZ STi.
Current expectations are the WRX and WRX Sti, based on the current Gen 4 impreza, will arrive in 2014.
Whatever the meeting is about lets hope it's good news

Lets hope their returning to the WRC...
Lets face it, thats why the impreza took off in 1992 due to the WRC and made it such a popular car today. Most proberbly why most of us went out and bought one in the first place, best move they could ever make I think..!!
About time for a revival of the brand..!! If they do you watch Impreza sales rocket.!!

From a Dealer, I expect Subaru have offered financial or other support given the times we are in, especially with the exchange rate which will be hindering imports.
Probably to quash all these rumours that get started here
Just to add:
Given the lack of new models currently available here, and what may happen in the future, I expect more than one or two dealers are getting worried about their futures.
Would say that that would be enough to call an Emergency meeting and put all their minds at rest/or not, in one go.
If Subaru has offered support then it's obvious they want to keep offering their products here.

Press release 3.12.12 subaru post record sales in USA
& both BRZ & Impreza both win N-cap safety awards
So they don't appear to be bruised / what a differance 3000 miles make

So this is the biggest Subaru site in the UK and seems to have a good number of posters who have some connection to the dealer network yet nothing 'official' on here yet... something not quite right there!

What a difference 3000 miles makes?
Why yes....IF your cars are being sold in the UK by a greedy company and come from one even greedier
If we are being brutally honest, ANY problems Subaru and IM hae in the UK are entirely of their own making!
Poor customer service, poor product, top prices, poor vfm, and no excuse for charging US more than the US pay...but they still do it!
