Emergency meeting
All 68 Subaru dealers today received an email telling them to attend an emergency meeting tomorrow at 9.15am. There are two meetings one north one south with senior management ,both at exactly the same time to make a big announcement. The reason for the meeting has not been divulged, even to the dealers. Lets hope its good news.

As much as I hate the way the ringland failure issue has been handled, I really love my hatch and hope that Subarus continue to be available here in the UK.
Think it would be a very big shock if either importer abandoned the brand or the manufacturer abandoned the UK market.
Heres a thought, maybe the Subaru brand in future will be sold through Toyota dealerships as well as a few selected established independent dealers.
In the last couple of years so many new dealers have come and gone, as well as long established dealers leaving the brand. For customers to trust a brand they need to know that the dealer will still be around when the car needs its first annual service.

When I go to Proven in Haslemere, their new showroom screams Kia.
You have to walk through an extensive range of Kia's before you get to the Subaru's......almost like they are tucked away at the back.

I heard there's been a high end management change in Japan and as a result there's a strong possibility Subaru may be returning to the WRC! Lets hope it's an announcement about that!

In all seriousness as much as I hate the current models I really do hope this isn't bad news, but it does sound a bit ominous ... as someone said rarely is good news delivered via this method... anyway here's hoping!

Hope it's good news, love our hatch but to be honest having just had ring land failure, a fault Subaru knew about & didn't rectify, then we had to pay for their poor workmanship I don't think we'll be buying another Subaru for the time being.............however if things change in the future
