Since you're so vehement in your quest to have your earlier point addressed I'll do my best to do so.
You raised the point of Britain, Australia and the US as paralells to the situation in Israel. You stated that the aforementioned nations were all guilty of land grabbing and forced occupation, by this token you admit Israel is taking land forcefully, yes? The difference is these nations have all reached some sort of appeasement with the native populus. In Britains case it happened so long ago it is not even relevant anymore. The US and Australia have both admitted the indiscretions and appalling treatment they meted to the Native Americans and Aborigines respectively. They have both gone some way to right some of those wrongs.

Err, I think Gus M is the dude you mean when you use the word vehement. Personally , I don't think the situation will be resolved anytime soon. BTW you spelt parallels wrongly.

Apart from that........
FAO Gus, Mouser and EinsteinRA,
You are not quoting one another properly in your own posts. What ERA says seems to be stated by Gus, what Gus says seems to be stated by Mouser, and what Mouser says seems to be stated by, well, any of you. You can't go around quoting someone else's post as yours and then try arguing with it/answering it, unless 3 of you are the same person putting up the show by having conversations with your various fragmented selves. Get it right, it's not difficult. It is confusing us readers.

A few days before that Palestinian threw his rucksack on to the no.142 bus, this hit the spot, too:

Plus, 30 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists eliminated, 19 high-level command centres, 980 underground rocket launchers, 206 smuggling tunnels, 42 Hamas operating bases, 26 weapon manufacturing and storage facilities and dozens of long-range weapons launchers and sites destroyed. In total, 1500 questions answered.

By empowering the Palestinian people...They do that and Hamas and it's ilk are finished but they don't do that do they?
No instead the degenerate a nation of people and have been doing so for a very very long time. So what hope do the Palestinian people have if all they see is death and destruction daily while the Israeli's live a pretty good standard of life?
Believe it or not, Israel is the new **** regime (until it changes its ways).

Apartheid
The crime of apartheid is defined by the 2002 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity "committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime.
Yes in hindsight not the best use of that word so I apologise, the word I was looking for was:

They stop persecuting the Palestinian people, they stop oppressing them and destroying any hope they have.
Blowing up Schools, Football pitches and destroying ground that could be used to harvest food is one way of pissing people off completely.
Another way is to choke the very blood out of the social and economic system that Palestine (barely) clings onto...using excuses like "we can't allow medical aid through because it will be used by terrorists" is a lame duck excuse Israel has been using for a long time.
Then they ask questions like why do the Palestinians support Hamas? They don't but they have no other choice, the lesser of two evils I suppose.
Even someone who has no idea of the conflict that is going on there can see that Israel (the regime) is like a rabid dog waiting to attack anyone that it perceives as a threat to its existence.
If they had any sense they would realise by empowering the people on the ground they could win this war as those very people would realise that Hamas is a detriment to peace in the long run (as is any fundamentalist group).
But lets not be ignorant or naive here, Israel has been stoking the fire and has no intention of putting it out so they in turn fuel the hatred that breeds the next group of terrorists (or freedom fighters depending on your perspective). The people fighting now don't even know (or care) what they are fighting for, they just know that the world they live in is full of death and misery.
The current Israeli regime has admitted they don't want a two state deal (which in my opinion is a bad idea as well) but they will not have a one state deal that allows different cultures to exist when they have such a racist, xenophobic view of the world (Apartheid).

I thought the Sunni celebrated (by starving themselves for the day) and the Shia indulged in ferocious self-flagellation, uncontrollable wailing and battle reenactments. You boys certainly know how to have a good time!

You were good enough to define apartheid for me a couple of posts back; very helpful, thank you. Did you look up demagogic?

Beats getting drunk, going home via assaulting randomn strangers, arguing with the kebab shop guy, then ordering the wrong thing, then blaming the kebab shop guy for it all, then telling him to **** off back to his own country, then getting in a cab, being sick in said cab, calling the driver a paki, then going home in a drunken state waking up all your neighbour with your crap football songs, pee'ing in the kettle, shaging the dog and battering the mrs by miles

****! That sounds terrible Shaid, if I were you I’d cut down on the drinking and you may benefit from seeing a councillor about the drink problem.
