Here's mine. Previous owner had it from 6 months old till selling to me earlier this year, just turned 70k miles. Not perfect one door has couple of "car park Doris kisses" but I think she's pretty good for her age. Standard apart from the spoiler and a nur spec.

Another fine example
Even standard silver wheels 16"" ? Too
A good unmolested example stright out of the box
Noticed even the sills and door handles are the original black as most people sprayed them to match the paint work very rare

is £1800 a decent price for a mint classic with FSH that has been really well looked after with no rust.? if it has done 100k but treated right it should last for many more years shouldnt it?

Yep that's a good price if it's as you say it is. Although the model year makes a difference too. If you look after it it should last just fine

its an x reg so a late model, is that better or worse?

Better in as much as the older models are obviously worth a little bit less due to them being older and the later models had Phase 2 engines, facelifted fronts and interiors and a few other bits, but really it's more about condition at that sort of age anyway I guess.

If it's as good as it sounds then it's a good price I reckon.

It's very easy to do yourself if you're able to remove a bit of the trim. They give you thin 2' long applicator tubes so you can just get in there and squirt it about.

Have a look at the website as I'm sure there's more information on how to use it, and their other products on there.

Thing is, people saying about getting ones for £1200 with 'a bit of rust or paint' is not really relevant to pricing a good car. Even if you cut the arches off and put new ones it'd neve be right and a £1200 car can easily suck £2k in bodywork (unless it's a crap job)

I'm not knocking cheap examples at all, it's just some will always want the best and are willing to pay for it.

Totally agree,I have had mine from New my00 with ppp,27k miles,I would not sell mine for £6k never mind £2-3k.

I think youv already come across my post , I'm the daft 18 year old whom has taken on the enormous tast of restoring my dads old 97classic , and and yes the arches are TERRIBLE , if the arch restoration is something your genuinely interested to see in a detailed form then I shall make sure I take copious amounts of photos before during and after almost a step buy step walk threw so to say. Make sure you follow my thread to keep up with the process "I will attempt to ma like it to NBO with her if all goes to plan but snow really isn't the weather for cutting and welding arches unfortunately .... Guys don't give up , if your classics mean as much to you as mines does to me I know you won't it's a hard lesson learned that's for sure , the 5k insurance a year is the killer for me ... Already about 2k out of pocket buying things for her and replacing parts ... Also for anyone who is breaking a classic wagon please get in touch I still have a long list of things I need .. Thanks

Interesed to see more accurate prices posted if renovations as prices seem to vary from £300 -£2000 and also DIY people attempting these jobs themselves

Anyone interested in a nice classic wagon? 2001 (yep) on a Y reg, mica red, just turned 70k, no rust. I'll be selling one in the next few weeks. It was our family car and will be missed but circumstances have changed. Had it 2 1/2 yrs and never missed a beat.
