I do see it but I'd still rather have an M5!

Must be fun blasting pretty much anything off the road in a fairly innocuous Scoob though...

Always been a big fan of sleepers.

I can't. You will always look a bit of a c8ck in your chavved up rice rocket but the M5 will look like a gentleman's racer.

You'll have a comedy cartoon exhaust that makes your ears bleed, endless whooshes from your blow job valve and a dash full of c8ck links. Seats that make your backache, cheap plastic interior that resembles a Fisher Price toy etc etc

The M5 will just look like a high quality car and all you will ever hear is the glorious V10 screaming like a F1 race car at 8500 rpm. Which is a nice contrast to the heated and ventilated sumptuous leather seats with bolsters that inflate as you go around corners.

And you'll never flip the lid and see this piece of engineering genius

They have to keep it covered, otherwise you'd get hard on every time you wanted to fill the screen wash.

Wonder which is worse on fuel? One thing that puts me off an M5 is the range of about six feet between fill ups. Sort of ruins the GT car credentials.

Very true. The fuel consumption and range is an issue.

Yeah but unless you are a footballer you can't own a Continental GT.

I think it might be against the law.

Or a high mile VW California ? Part van, part house, easily chipped to over 200bhp? No? Thought not.

I'd look at a new M135i with that money.

I guess it depends on how mcy money he has for running costs. If this isnt an issue the little BMW cant possibly compete with a Bentley GT, Nissan GT-R, Aston Martin DB9 etc.

But some people might want to run a new car that point to point is probably quicker than a leggy old prestige car.

My 30 grand would go on the BM.

B8 S4 s-tronic. MRC remap it to 430bhp and with that gearbox it will be seriously quick. Debadged it will just look like any other Audi and be an excellent Q car and RS4 upsetter

Unless your sole intention is for track use, then 100% agree with above and would much sooner have M5 and or better still the 911 turbo.

And going from personal experience, I would put allot more faith in the M5 or the porker doing 100K + miles than the toooned up Scoob....

Run flats can be changed (I changed mine pronto) and I suspect they are optional on the M135i anyway.

Agreed though, it's no looker but a mate has recently bought one and it's very quick, handles beautifully and is astonishingly good VFM. It's also a lot lighter than the "proper" 1M.

I have a thing for really small cars with big engines. Shame our Cali is a very big van with a very small engine...

Do you own and drive a subaru ? If so you must also look a **** like us all then.

My car looks like a standard spec c,Exhaust no noise from my miltec,Same exhaust i had on my 996 turbo porsche ?

Seats on long journeys ive just got back from the ring 1250 miles no back ache ?

Dash have to agree not the best.

Op have you test drove anything yet if sso let us know how it's going.

Engine bay of a m5 m3 rs4 ect all bland black covers,So deffo bollocks.

M5 looks like a 500bhp 2.5 ton tank that can sit on a motorway cruising i can do this faster and smoother and at 40+mpg in a 535m sport for so much less.

Not quite sure what you mean but here goes

Do you own and drive a subaru ? If so you must also look a **** like us all then.

No I don't own a Subaru.

My car looks like a standard spec c,Exhaust no noise from my miltec,Same exhaust i had on my 996 turbo porsche

What do you mean no noise from your exhaust? But actually my point was I presume you've had to mod your Scoob to get 450 BHP? Exhausts, intakes, perhaps fmic, uprated turbos with more lag? I'm guessing of course but perhaps you have c8ck links, blow job valves? All these things add their own compromises and need fettling.

M5? 500 + BHP straight out of the box, thanks for asking.

Btw, I'd be interested to know what your car weighs and what the BHP/tonne is.

Engine bay of a m5 m3 rs4 ect all bland black covers,So deffo bollocks.

No not deffo bollocks at all. Just because the engine is covered does not make what is underneath the covers any less special. You cannot compare the ubiquitous Audi V8 to the almost bespoke V10 that was only ever used in two cars, the M5 and M6. Never used before and will never be used again.

M5 looks like a 500bhp 2.5 ton tank

Really? It weighs circa 1800kgs, where did you get 2.5 tonnes from?

M5 looks like a 500bhp 2.5 ton tank that can sit on a motorway cruising i can do this faster and smoother and at 40+mpg in a 535m sport for so much less

Funnily enough I have owned both cars ie M5 and 535d MS. If you think the two are comparable at any speed in any situation or that the M5 is just a motorway cruiser you are VERY much mistaken.

I'd be genuinely interested to know how much your car now weighs and what your estimated BHP/tonne is.

***whispering*** and an E60 M5 weighs around 1.8 tonnes, not 2.5...

And I can't say many 535ds (no 535i can do 40mpg) are "faster" and "smoother" than an M5. And M Sport makes NO difference to performance. If anything they are slower (more wheel and tyre weight, more interior weight, more drag, etc).

And and and...
