Ya I know
But as a jdm car owner would you run a huge plate.
If you phone them they will tell you the minimum size you can run..
Mines a bit smaller than mickywrx's
As there is no law about how close the edge can be from the lettering....
And as before it depends on the copper who pulls you.!!!
And if they state legislation so can you.. By keeping a printout of the dvla legislation......

Did it got through the MoT like that Matty ?
The only failure on my car's FSH was the time that a smaller NP was used on the front, having forgotten to put the 'legal' one on for the test.
I got a smaller front one and rather stupidly (in hindsight) added a flag.
Result - the text is far too small to even be close (I'll pop a pic up tomorrow).
However, I carry the legal front one in the boot, just in case.
(btw the plates aren't screwed, they can be changed literally in 3 seconds (once you've got the 'proper' one in your hand ).
I've got a mate who's been crafty with his 'special' plates.
The front one says E BOOST X, the back one reads E800 STX.
His reasoning is that "coppers always follow you, so if the back plate is legal they won't have that to pull me over for".
