I know ding, and I am sure that BMW make superb cars

Their diesel engines seem in a different class with the power and economy that they deliver

And sure the chris Harris bloke does a good job

But like your hifi and my windsurfing one, I just get slightly cynical sometimes

But maybe the Internet has democratised these sorts of reviews

Anyway the Beemer does seem remarkable value, and the mpg figure just makes other cars look ridiculous in this day and age of petrol at 1.40 ltr

Awesome. It's good to know that such huge businesses like these also have a bit of sense of humor when it comes to marketing and competition.

I'd have the BMW every time.

Who cares whats slightly quicker in a straight line or round a track

Looks are subjective

Not everyone needs 5 doors

Not everyone wants 4wd

The fact is that the BMW is the better drivers car.

I know BMW have had their fair share of reliability issues over the last few years but they can usually last more than a year.

Have to say BMW have it in the bag for company cars at present.

the Audis are sorely lacking in benefits when you look at cost VS depreciation and also car TAX

they will no doubt catch up, but on speccing my new company car I couldnt get an AUDI anywhere close to the BMW, in spec speed monthly payments and car tax.
