Oh come off it Jack, its cheaper, better spec'd and more advanced than anything Apple have made (including the latest ipad).
You wanted to see improvements, this blows everything else on the market out of the water and is very affordable.
Apple came up with big numbers, does that mean they suck or is it just one way?

The reviews look very promising

Apple need to get out of the clouds before they are shot out of them and come down to earth with a rather large bump if they want to be competitive.

Yes bigger numbers like 2560 x 1600 screen resolution, A15 coretex, 16:9 etc, and smaller price and lighter weight, soon to be the number 1 seller

It is clear that he will never, ever be anything else but an Apple fan.

they realise they are in trouble hence the re shuffling. As above people are now realising that they don't really get value for money. Don't get me wrong apple products are good, just that there is better and more importantly for less

Just wait for the Nexus 10, the 32gb wifi version is cheaper than the latest ipad, the nexus 10 has a faster processor (A15 Coretex dual core @ 1.7ghz) and a far better screen resolution (2560x1600 + 16:9 aspect ratio).
Less than £380 quid for this 32gb version, 16gb is £319 and its definately worth looking at (release is 13th Nov by the sounds).

There is no way I would pay £380 for a tablet, she already has a quality ultra portable dell laptop so a tablet is just a toy for occasional use. Tablets will never replace laptops as I have an HTC flyer and find them a bit of a pain while browsing as typing something on a forum takes a while as compared with my laptop.

I enjoy it too. But also don't understand why Tony gets involved, if I was constantly wrong about a subject I'd learn to shut my mouth. Especially when it could hurt my career.

Also you have to understand the technology, I do, you dont, to you whatever apple does is the best, even when its ****, so go buy your new ipad 4, the rest of us will spend wisely and buy a nexus 10 32gb and save a packet whilst having a far better device than apple has produced (note had your pants taken down and shafted by a fruit company ) but that is up to you, if you are bright (seemingly not) then you will accept that technology goes on and its not just a brand that tells you its the best when its not, thats just for suckers.
Tony
PS, Steve, the Nexus 7 32gb may be the best bet then, 200 quid or the 16gb Nexus 10 for 319.

Had my hands on iPad Mini today and also the Nexus.
Not being funny but the Nexus felt cheap and nasty while the iPad felt much better in terms of quality.
We all have our preferences and some would prefer to save money and buy the slightly cheaper product, fair enough, I personally prefer to feel a superior quality product in my hand, especially when it's something I'll use practically every day.
I'm sure the Nexus is a great product but for me it didn't have that quality feel to it that the iPad Mini has.
Oh and it's so light compared to the original, feels really comfortable holding in one hand!!

The only thing I didn't like about the Mini was the screen. Would have been perfect if it had the Retina screen but as it is, it's too small/too low a res for serious document reading, e.g. PDFs.

I've always thought the iPad was a little too big and heavy.
Coming from an iPad 3 I can see the reduction in quality of the screen, especially in Safari, seems okay for iBooks which is what I use mainly.
