Got a price off Matty and it was pretty good but literally just after getting off the phone with him Craig text me back (Infectedbysti) and has sorted me out.

As per usual Craig is an absolute legend. It worked out perfectly as my friend only needs the front half and Craig only needed the rear. Result!

Played! I always read that hot days are conducive to PB's but looking at it the extra cooling, reduced RR and boost must outweigh thinner oil, stickier grip and air pressure etc.

Did you add a bit of psi to the tyres Jay?

Thanks Micky. Car was awesome, ran it on the meth map today and the difference was something else, it would have gone faster if I could have got the grip down!

Matt, it is a trade off, hot weather, reduced power but higher grip, cold weather more power less grip....

No all my runs are done on road tyres at road pressures, literally drive to the track, race and drive home, no messing, I have no doubt il be into the tens with slicks and adjusting the pressures etc

Love this pic from yesterday, quite sideways with a dirty great plume of smoke on gear change

Shame he missed the 4ft flame that came out afterwards haha!

What was your terminal speed for the Drag Leaderboard?

You really have to start beating your opponent off the line for the pics and vids! Just floor it to the line on call up and set your revs while your opponent trundles up.

That Civic guy will be bragging to everyone now, "did you see how I left a 500bhp 4x4 for dead lads!"

Who cares? We all know my car is faster, and to be honest I can give them all a head start its not like he was ever going to beat me to the finish line....

He can launch at 2500k with the 5 speed and beat 11.3, the 5 will take that all day in a lightened Classic. If it breaks get a cryo'd 5 speed for a couple of 100.

Launch at 2.5k? wtf?

My car wouldnt even move off the start line, 2.5k is probably stalling it at a set of traffic lights if i try and pull off like that

Try 5.5k for a slow launch....

6.5k when in full drag lol

Do a 2.5k and slip the clutch to stop bogging down. Do you use the handbrake Jay?

When Bob Rawle did 11.7 in a 340 bhp UK Classic did he do it with a 6 speed?

Why would I slip the clutch?

You are comparing apples to bananas here mate, I have launch control and launch at 1.5bar of boost, no slipping of the clutch needed,

engage launch

side step the clutch

hit the limiter 2/3 times and grab second and very quickly after 3rd, 4th and 5th lol

Exactly that mate, and we are getting faster every time we go out, and this is still on road tyres, if I can get close to a 10 at this track I will head up to shakey or the pod for a few runs and see how I do, there is a 10 in this car now I am certain of it

I'm glad its not just me busting gearboxes although my gearbox I think is mainly having problems due to age rather than huge power and constant launches!

I'm building a fast road car and my RB5 is off the road at the moment too!

I want to see how far you can go with this! I'm loving the clips and the sound of the car!

Haha, are you busting your 5 speeds?

This is the 2nd of the "indestrucable" 6 speeds that I have killed

Get your own prject thread up mate let's see the motor

I love the sound it makes. Its definitely unique
