No worries at all Martin, theses vents are awkward little buggers to paint given its inside and out so it hard to mount stable to stop it blowing around but it turned out nice.

Grown on me since yesterday mate but still not convinced. Must add though that the ride quality and handling seems to feel so so much better with the 17's on then the 18's no more crashing over pot holes now

This pic in the light gives a better look as I say they're growing on me and are only going to be used through the winter to preserve the new ones that are coming next week

Flap finally went on yesterday well worth the 9 hour round trip to go see frayz and his mate on my knackered gear box. Must say the lads made me feel so welcome and made the experience of having my roof cut an enjoyable one

Few pics of frayz doing his thing I'm very very pleased now and already the best mod on the car.

Love it frayz, very professional service from frayz and his mate both are true gentlemen

Cheers for looking I will give the car a good scrub and upload fresh pics

Martin

You should have put this in the projects section mate so it stays up there .
Car looks great black/black , and as you say the handling is far better on 17" wheels as Subaru intended.
That's why I stayed with my oe alloys but just got them powder coated gloss black.
That's what I think you should do with those gold alloys.

I have the same sickspeed horns but in white, wind deflectors too.

I think the roof flap is awesome mate, well done to Frayz for making the fitment look stock.
I couldn't justify the price @ the moment.

Looks great mate.

Thanks Marty mate, I know what you mean about the cost of the flap although already its the best mod I've got.

This thread was never intended to be a project lol although its defo heading that way. Could a mod move it in the project section? If so who do I contact?

Cheers again for the comments mate

Cheers Wiley bought mine from japanparts mate. Was thinking about a hawk conversion like yours but decided against it. Leaving it a bug but will have the whole front end refreshed

Your car looks

Staying with the same 5speed pink box for now mate, funds won't allow to upgrade to the 6speed clutch. Have no plans as yet to break the 400 barrier so will no doubt change it again next year.

Good stuff Martin.

I'd put up a current spec of the as it stands now so we can see it develop as this thread continues
