It has Craig the drive is different to when I had the td04 hybrid as I've lost a little spool now but the car still feels strong going through the gears. Had a good blast home and the cars so smooth and just keeps pulling. Also to gain over 40bhp was an added bonus

Figures sound great as it is a similar spec to what I'm hoping for. Wondering just how much difference the TGV delete makes through as I have a WRX inlet and will be doing the TGV delete mod rather than fitting an STI inlet - will it be worth the effort

You're also running a 6-speed now aren't you, so mine will be lighter

Hi Jon defo worth just changing the inlet and think it'll be a lot quicker and easier to do. In my opinion it's defo a worth while mod as when driving now the car feels so much smoother. Prob gained 3bhp aswell

Yep I'm on 6speed so yours will be marginally lighter

Getting hold of an STI manifold with the TGV delete is not as easy as it sounds, I'll stick with my plan and port them at the same time

My car is quite a bit lighter, no airbags, lightweight seats, no u-frame, lots of excess wiring removed, no ABS, etc

Jon I was down at Scoobyspares yesterday Scott has about a trillion lol.

I think yours is considerably lighter mate I was pulling your leg. With all the mods I've done I've prob made mine a lot heavier haha. Hmmm what could I strip to save weight (deep in thought now ha)

When it's finished (complete with an extra hole in the bonnet) I'm planning on finding the local weigh-bridge. I have a target of 1250kg but that may be ambitious

I have spare inlet that I can do the work on without taking the car off the road (not that it is taxed or MOT'd) and I enjoy doing the work TBH

I also thought it was only the spec c manifolds that didn't have the TGVs and most of the STI ones I have seen look identical to the WRX except painted red, whereas the spec-c ones are longer

When I had mine fitted Jon you could see the butterflies in what looks like a large spacer on the wrx manifold. The Sti had spacer had nothing inside which I assume is the butterfly delete? Is that right? The inlet I used was from an 2005 Sti.

Them rings on the right Jon have nothing in them, the wrx rings had the open/shut butterflies in them so assuming you could just get hold of them you could keep your original inlet? Is that right or am I way off lol?

You're spot on mate, and the TGV delete basically removes the butterfly and fills the holes. I also intend to open up the hole by removing the vane in the spacer

Spent many nights trawling through pics of switches fitted in dashs Jon. Came up with this idea of blanking off one of the vents with Frayz and having the defi controller slotted in

Not sure if this has been done before but I've never seen it massive thanks to Frayz for the work he's done on it though

Seen plenty of vent mods but that is the first like that. I'm future proofing for the first person to do Carberry.rom stuff so a LC and ALS switch are going in mine in a unique location (I hope)

Sounds interesting Jon, give us a clue of what your plans are I've had those switches fitted to also run ALS and dual boost should be going maf less aswell. This will be my next round of mods when I save a few pennies

Arranging with jake to have the arch extensions fitted. Before they go on thought it'd be rude not to put my pics of the hours I put in cleaning the car over the weekend
