9/12 Apple Day
So us iphone 4 users don't have to upgrade to do panoramics, i've had that app a few months so well before the 5 came out.
Well that's the thing, you open this free app instead of the camera app and it there is no clicking or messing about to stitch it, you just scan round and it does it all for you! It can't be any simpler so just as good (if not better - not used it?) than doing it via the camera app.

For iPhone 4 users, it's the only way, but I like built in. Pretty sure the method used my the Apple app is different as well. Ah, just looked at your link rather than the picture, very nice but completely different to iOS Panoramas which are more traditional and don't need a viewer.
Ah ok, like I say not seen the ios ones but just thought for what is a free app it's an amazing bit of software. Only panoramic shots i've seen taken before were with the Wife's digital camera which were a lot more work.

Panoramo photography is something Apple invented and the sooner you accept that the better!!!
My phone is over 2 years old so i'm pleased to have the ability to do something that wasn't available on my phone when I got it.Android phones get replaced and forgotten about every few months so I much prefer sticking with my phone that is still supported after 2 years of ownership.
Looks like Samsung do a dual core version of the S3 especially for USA, but they have also tested the quad core version in this test

The amusing part of the story is that nobody (and everybody) was wrong about these results. Android enthusiasts were only looking at the scores of the quad-core variant, whereas iPhone 5 fans were dismissing both Galaxy S3 versions simply because, on average, the dual-core Snapdragon S4-equipped model yielded a lower score than Apple’s flagship phone.

No they were all dual core CPU versions, only GPU were quad core (Exy/Mali400 & S4/Adreno225). The only phone with quad core CPU and GPU was LG with S4Pro/Adreno320 and that only appeared in one of the tests.

so even at 1.3ghz the apple is still slower, but i did say take the geekbench benchmarks with a pinch of salt, my S3 hits nearly 1900 and its not being pushed by geekbench, its not a good test for quadcores as it doesn't seem to be optimized very well unlike quadrant standard (shame its android only).Tony
So then, looks like Samsung have a few issues too...

An official apology by Apple:

In a statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook said: "At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers. With the launch of our new Maps last week, we fell short on this commitment.
"We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has caused our customers and we are doing everything we can to make Maps better."

Another iPhone 5 glitch, this time affecting the camera. I don't think any phone has been afflicted with as many faults in it's life time let alone in one week, you can't make this up!! This is what you get for having a bean counter run the show.

You do realise that lens flare is not an iphone problem, don't you?
As as semi profesisonal photographer I can tell you that you can get lens flare under the circumstances as described on any camera, from a phone to £5k worth of professional dslr and lenses due to light refraction
That's why proper lenses come with lens hoods
The problem isn't the iphone, its all the crap reporting
Seriously?
