I'm avoiding nothing, it has more LTE than the Galaxy S3, your God Phone hence it must be 'better'
LTE that you cannot use is like having no LTE at all
Plus as I've said, Samsung are releasing an LTE version of the S3, the U.S. model already has LTE, the U.K. model has hsdpa 21+ which is as quick as the 4g EE trialled

And Apple will no doubt have a new iPhone next year, which is perfect timing for when there may be an LTE network available that it can't use, for now, it's better than your iPad Mini.
It is about time they changed the dock connector, but I think it's a bit bad of Apple not to include an adapter for free. Especially after they put up on the site that it would by mistake.
Well after much deliberation I've ordered a 16gb, paid £289 on a 12 month contract £41 per month, 600mins, Unlimited txt and 1gb of data.
I see your £289 + £41x12 = £781 a year
and raise you...
£529 (sim free) + £20 a month to giffgaff, 800mins, unlimited calls, unlimited texts and unlimited data + free calls to other giffgaff users AND NO CONTRACT!
And if you get someone else to sign up to giffgaff you both get a free £5 ;-)
The iPhone 5 doesn't come with the adapter, only a USB cable so Apple will be robbing you of another £25 if you want to use your existing docks. To add to that new iPhone 5 users will likely face a shortage of these adapters too. Not so happy customers I predict.

Total cost: £769 a year
BOOM!
I looked into buying the phone and using a tesco sim only deal @ £12.50 a month but it was the outlay of £530 for the phone that put me off.
I doubt anyone other than you nay sayers will give a toss to be honest.
Question Jon, is the negativity just a part of your online persona or are you being yourself?
Negative? I'm an eternal optimist. What better way to advertise the features of the new iPhone 5, no one can deny that everyone who's contributed to this thread you started now has quite an extensive knowledge new iPhone, what features it has, how much it costs and what to expect out of the box.

Bi-Polar much. You're right.
iCloud tabs haven't been mentioned yet. I'm loving them. And yes, Jon's negative side, I have used every other version of the same concept. Admittedly I have four devices, three in use throughout the day, all Apple, all in perfect sync. Anyhow it's great.
Dictation is much improved and in more places, best use right now, spelling.
